In this excessively digital age, its become harder than ever to get a good nights sleep. Most of us spend our days staring at a computer screen, only to go home and scroll through our phones and catch up on our favorite shows (both of which involve staring at, you guessed it more screens). All that blue light seriously messes with our circadian rhythm, making it difficult for us to achieve the quality, deep sleep we so desperately need to function.
Relax Melodies wants to help change that. This sleep and meditation sound generator uses a variety of different tools and techniques to help you drift peacefully off to dreamland in no time, and a one-year subscription is available now for just $29.99.
Relax Melodies lets you construct your ideal happy-place soundscape. You can start by choosing a sound that relaxes you, add a piece of nature, like a babbling brook or croaking frogs (hey, whatever gets you there). With over 100 ambient sounds and white noise options to choose from, you can create as many custom soundscapes as your heart desires.

Youtube search on relaxing sound like a rainstorm or a creek.
They are usually 8/hrs in length.
I’ve never been able to sleep to those nature or music kinds of sounds. The only one I’ve found that works for me is the sound of a great snowstorm in the woods.
Usually I listen to talk radio, and fall asleep to that just fine.
Get a recording of rain on a tin roof. Nothing better.
s long as I don’t have to shovel, that would be relaxing.
The Young Turks Election Meltdown 2016: From smug to utterly devastated (26:02).
Thunder and lightning storm does it for me.
It’s very nice, and I think I originally found it through a post here. You hear the wind and snow hitting windows, trees creaking, someone walking through the snow up to a cabin. He goes inside, lights a fire, and starts a little dinner for himself. No words, just sounds, and very subdued.
It was called ‘Snow Bound Cabin’, from a company called ‘Virtual Dreamer’. A search on the company and mp3 title doesn’t bring up anything that I can find, now.
Growing up I had to shovel all the time. My brother never had to shovel.
There are some good ASMR vids..but only a few. Many of them are “yami yami” new-age crap. JMO.

You sound like my husband complaining about cutting grass as a kid. He swears that when we buy the retirement abode, there will be NO GRASS’ - just raised beds everywhere :-)
(And if not, I have to cut it myself.)
Apparently no one has heard of c-span.
That might be the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. Thank you for posting that.
I often use sleep sounds on YouTube. My favorites are blizzard and thunderstorms.
For some reason I have more vivid dreams and remember them more often when I use the blizzard sounds.
A fan or fans for white noise.
Very cool.
Similar things have been around forever. I have a fan noise machine....play a billion different white noises as well as a billion different types of fan noises.
#3 Do you hear a tree fall in the woods while asleep?
Also to fall asleep just listen to Sean Hannity. His voice is at the same level with hardly a variance. I listen at lunch in the parking lot in my car and wake up like 30 minutes later!
When I really want to sleep, I listen to Jacques Vallee on old paranormal-show podcasts. It’s interesting enough if I can’t sleep immediately, but his voice and accent are very relaxing, never jarring.
