Teens accused of mob beatdown of 15-year-old girl given after-school curfews

The teens who allegedly took part in a brutal, on-camera beat down of a 15-year-old girl in Brooklyn will stay free while they await trial on their charges but must abide by an after-school curfew.
Seven teen defendants, who range in age from 14 to 17 years old, were arraigned on a criminal complaint on Monday that includes charges of second-degree robbery and gang assault. They all pleaded not guilty.

An update to the article posted yesterday. Victim, alleged beat up a rival, is described as a "quiet basketball player." Does that mean she is not quiet when doing other things?

This is New York we’re talking about. An after school curfew is actually stricter bail terms than most people arrested get.
