When was the last time you saw a TRULY horrendous film? If you've got the stomach for poor film making, bad acting, lousy production values, terrible writing, etc...then have I got a film for you! D-Day (2019 version)

...was at Red Box renting a movie, and they had an offer for an extra movie rental for a dollar, so I got this turkey. I thought at the time, "never heard of this one, but for a buck, how can I lose?"

I lost. 85 minutes out of my life.

Beware!

It must be even worse for Nazis.

Hitler slept through D-Day, so it's only fair you slept through the movie.

Thanks, you saved me a buck and a half, but more importantly time, precious time. Has anyone seen Motherless Brooklyn? It got no buzz when it was released probably for a good reason :)

I think the worst movie I ever saw was “Surf Nazis”. The worst one where they spent more than a thousand dollars to make it was “American Beauty”. A truly horrible film.

Haven’t seen 1917, but I heard it was great. Is it available for rental?

It's available for rental from on-demand services now. Blu-Ray release date is March 24, 2020.

IMHO 1917 was a movie best enjoyed on the big screen and full theater sound.

About all I can remember is when it finished, I thought, “At least they didn’t waste much money making it”.

—I’d call “1917” the most over-rated movid of the year-—

—yeah, the photography was great (no-man’s land -WW1) but the story bordered on ridiculous-—

“Even worse than “Battle of the Bulge”?

You’re not kidding. That movie was disgustingly bad. Henry Fonda should have been ashamed.

Thanks for the info.

My Grandpa’s first job in the USA was being a WW1 soldier.

Last good movie I saw was “Hacksaw Ridge”

Before that “Braveheart”

Before that “It’s a Wonderful Life” and “Mr. Smith Comes to Washington.”

The “Die Hard” series, not bad.

I'm guessing you haven't seen Come and See, a Belorussian film from 1985 about the eastern front in World War II, in Russian, filmed in Belorussia, with subtitles.
