Unfortunately, I will have to limit my August activities. Part of my lung damaged by the 2017 assault had to be removed by surgery this weekend. The doctors, nurses, & staff at Vanderbilt University Medical Center were great. I should be able to return to the Senate in September.

Paul’s neighbor, Rene Boucher, was sentenced to 30 days behind bars for assault after he tackled the senator over a yard dispute, resulting in five broken ribs and the removal of part of his lung damaged from the incident.

Congress took a vacation during the first week+ of the C virus shut down. Dems are all over the country, not able to vote. So are Republicans, but, for a change, they are very motivated by PDJT and would probably have returned to DC in greater numbers than Dems.

Since I’ve been retired I’m home alone a lot anyway, except for getting grands sometimes. But it was hard to get used to, felt like I had things I was supposed to be doing for a long time. And I put off things I planned on doing once I had time.
