For those who won’t read the article (I usually don’t before commenting lol), he was in an animal shelter, not out hunting in the wild.
Not sure about this. Rabbit is definitely on the food chain for a lot of the world. Rabbit is a Friday night special at a local restaurant.
Good thing he want visiting a homeless shelter!
Crazy. When I was a kid, we hunted em, killed em, skinned em, chopped em up, cooked em and then ate em. Same thing with squirrels and deer. Some folks in these parts still do it today.
Steer clear.
And I say that as a person who likes animals.
Br’er Rabbit in the wild, go for it. Fuzzy-wuzzy bun-bun - not so cool.
But he wasn’t charged for trespassing or destruction of property. He was charged with animal torture as a first offense.
Its good to keep pets, you never know when you will need them, come the apocalypse.
I guess the question is whether or not he enjoyed it, or just needed better technique. A disgusting case to judge.

Some of the animal rights people are calling for an amendment to the Constitution to establish constitutional rights for animals. That would be animal rights against human rights. The buildup of activism is enough, that we may see moves to do that in the near future.
There is a dirt road north of kumiiva valley in nevada that goes in the direction from lovelock to gerlach. On a 20 mile stretch of that road at dusk, you can easily splatter 100 bunny rabbits per night Sometimes 3 or 4 simultaneously

These people should give up eating all meat products if yhey are traumatized be a beheaded bunny. Think what would happen if they saw their hamberger being killed and cut up.
