But the ‘cause chaos’ statement was aimed at the deliberate misinformation from the MSM and some officials. People will have no idea what hit them if we get a full on epidemic here. And they will be very angry.
We had masks when my wife had cancer, so anybody who came to the house we’d put a mask on them. Most nursing homes have masks at the desk, and I always put them on, not to protect myself, but just in case I have a bug I don’t notice yet.
Italy has cases from the large Chinese population in that area. They went to Italy to get in on the manufacturing of Italian goods.
I feel like that is because China is starting to open up their factories again, and that was the fear.
Or maybe it is because Bloomberg did that national speech and calmed everybody down. :)

Hubby just asked a group of friends if they’d seen, or heard about, any of the Costco vids. Most had and were shocked. One person just rolled their eyes, wondering why anyone is even concerned about this “flu”.
My wife just came home from working at CVS (northern CT).
Today was the first day they ran out of hand sanitizer.
So far no cases reported in CT (though presumably there are many unreported cases).

If a county health officer orders you into quarantine in your own home, the sheriff will enforce it.
There is no appeal to the courts until after-the-fact.
Sure, the US Constitution is still “in effect”, but nobody with power is paying attention to it.

Precisely.
Dude had sore throat and fever. Sore throat is usually from postnasal drip. IIRC he ran a low fever. Took it easy over the weekend, felt fine Monday morning and returned to work. Still with an enormous viral load and shedding like mad apparently. Once German health authorities caught up with him they tested him and promptly quarantined him.
There’s a case in P-town
He told other doctors when he caught it from an elderly patient who had been asymptomatic.
If the authorities had wanted to kill him they wouldn’t have put him on a ventilator in a hospital. He died while being treated.
There are Chinese doctors who are in contact with their colleagues here in the states. Not everything going on there is a mystery.
