Trumps stopping many flights from China early
February 2 was not early, it was too late.
Just watched a video where the miss use of steroids in Iran was blamed for causing the apparent greater than 5 % death rate. Not knowledgeable enough to properly use, was the charge by Dr. John Campbell. Of course he seems to think China’s draconian quaratines are winning the day in China.
I'm no expert, but with bio-weapons, like anthrax, that is the case. While anthrax isn't a virus, in weaponized form, the dose you get completely overwhelms your immune system. Even if you have been vaccinated, it won't help much. The anthrax vaccine protects from small exposures, like a veterinarian might be exposed to.
I'm NOT saying CV is a bio-weapon, but in some environments, like a hospital ward filled with infected patients in Wuhan, the exposure levels for medical personnel working with sick people 8-12 hours a day, the dose might be far beyond "typical exposure", where someone touched a doorknob then touched their face, and might explain why young, healthy medical personnel are dying.
If the hospital allowed exposure after they determined they wanted the patient tested, that is just stupid. Once you think someone has something, you TREAT them like they do, until you have confirmation otherwise.
So any paper claiming that somehow these people were exposed because it took 4 days to get around to the test are probably lying.
Are they using Cipro, or is that just for bacterial infections?

That’s a couple of planeloads of folks contaminated!
The bags, sans saline might come from China.
Friends own a canning business. Switched from glass jars made in US to glass jars made in China to save money/increase profits a few years ago.
They were using large amounts of Cipro for our troops in the Middle East just in case of bio weapons attacks for a very long time they were saving all Cipro supplies for the troops!!! I ordered a bunch of Cipro from Canada about 3 months ago I always like to have antibiotics on hand just in case!! The last thing I want to do when I am sick is get dressed and sit in an office waiting for the Dr. with a bunch of other sick people!!!
I didn’t see mention of cipro in that paper? I may have overlooked it if it was there.
I do remember the vanc though. That was the first thing they did when he developed pneumonia. Vanc drip. It did nothing.
I hear what you are saying. My family however are stuck in perpetual eating out due to our schedules. It’s convenient when we both work and have sports activities 4 days out of the week where we are taking kids to and from. We often don’t get home until 9-930pm on those days. We do make dinner at home the other days, breakfast for kids in mornings and they do have lunch from home. I guess we could be worse.
Our pantry is stocked so we can go at least a month with food. I think 24 cases of water is a pretty good amount for short term but we do drink a lot of water.
At least you have food.
one of my relatives, who could definitely afford to stock up, had a half bottle of expired mustard and a six pack of skunky beer in their fridge. That’s all. I think the pantry had some mothy saltines. This in a 5000sqft house on a golf course.
I can see eating out/etc if you are busy. No shame in that game. It’s the ones who do that with no ‘fallback’ food at home ‘just in case’ that bother me.
if you do stock up food, rotate it and donate stuff that’s near the expiry date to a food pantry or church. You win, they win, etc.
Self-quarantine will never work, human nature being what it is.
Clever!
Reminder to self:
Stock up on Bon-bons!!!
My son used to be a quality control chemist for Teva. They made generic drugs. The fillers came from China.
More than 50% of the filers from China were contaminated!
Yep...that was/is a whole ‘nother issue!
I think this has to yet be determined for COVID-19.
Actually no I don’t remember. Doesn’t surprise me though. Why would you not try anything and everything to save your child? Darwin needs to get busier with some of these people and quit letting them breed.
Youngest child is a nurse and he (and my PA brother-in-law)claim that most meds are good for a while after the expiration date. Told me that my EpiPens were good as long as they weren’t cloudy. Guess we will find out.
yay!
