Red wine with steak; white wine with chicken, pork, fish and seafood.

Bernie says that capitalism has produced too much wine choice and there should be only ONE government-issued red wine. Actually, Bernie wants to ban all wine production and have the government factory make only potato-based vodka.

It was so much easier in high school. Boone’s Farm, Annie Green Springs or maybe MD 20/20.

There’s an Italian deli out here in Culver City called Sorrento that arranges its wine by region from Calabria in the south to Südtirol, aka Alto Adige, in the north. They even carry wine from Lazio (the Rome area) which is not known for good wine, yet the wine they get from there is very good. Next time I go there, I’ll have to see if they have any Grignolino.

“Grignolino may not be considered a serious wine...”

A “serious” wine. Gimme a break.

My go-to favorite the last few years is a not-too-sweet American Red I can get for 7.99 anywhere locally.
