Figured we would start numbering the threads.
Some points to keep in mind:
1. This thing is not “just the flu.” 2. 1/10th of the worlds population is in some sort of lockdown. 3. Generally, we don’t buy the Chinese numbers But if anything they are low. 4. Everyone is welcome to post, but don’t bore us with your “you are panicking” posts. They are tedious.

If too many get COVID -19 at once, there won’t be enough isolation beds or ICU intubation beds to deal with this in addition to the flu. Flu season here really sucks up all the beds. Plus, you really don’t want to put something that contagious in with other sick people. Cross infection of each other.
I saw a couple of Chinese girls in a podcast—seemed like propaganda to me. China post is putting out video on you tube-propaganda-doesn’t look like the Videos we have seen on the street.
S. Korea update: 231 new cases, 833 total cases, 8 deaths, 22 recoveries
The Central Defense Response Headquarters reported that the number of new Corona 19 patients increased by 70 from 9 am as of 4 pm. A total of 231 new patients were added that day, including 161 am, and the number of domestic patients increased to 833. In addition, one patient was being treated at Kyungpook National University Hospital. It is the eighth in Korea.
Among the total confirmed patients, the number of patients in Daegu and Gyeongbuk increased to 681. The number of confirmed Shincheon Daegu Churches was 456 as of this morning. The association of new patients in the afternoon has not been confirmed.
Four patients, 9, 13, 15, and 20, were cured and released from containment, increasing to 22.

KABUL (Reuters) - Afghanistan on Monday identified the country’s first case of coronavirus as reported cases outside China jump.
Ferozuddin Feroz, the minister of public health, told a press conference in Kabul one of three suspected cases had been confirmed in the Western province of Herat.

Iran: 50 deaths!
DUBAI, United Arab Emirates — A staggering 50 people have died in the Iranian city of Qom from the new coronavirus this month, Iran’s semiofficial ILNA news agency reported on Monday.
The new death toll is significantly higher than the latest number of confirmed cases of infections that Iranian officials had reported just a few hours earlier by and which stood at just 12 deaths out of 47 cases, according to state TV.
An official from Qom, Ahmad Amiriabadi Farahani, was quoted in ILNA saying that more than 250 people are in quarantined in the city, which is a popular place of religious study for Shiites from across Iran and other countries.
