Figured we would start numbering the threads.

1. This thing is not “just the flu.” 2. 1/10th of the worlds population is in some sort of lockdown. 3. Generally, we don’t buy the Chinese numbers But if anything they are low. 4. Everyone is welcome to post, but don’t bore us with your “you are panicking” posts. They are tedious.

Consider this: It's pretty obvious that there's a LOT of Chinese going to America and a lot of American's going to China. This disease is here and was here long before anyone was making noises about it. If Pandora's box is already opened then the last thing our government wants to do is panic people. So what's a logical step? Perhaps clumsily not be able to get test kits out? That way there's no way to confirm or deny that there is coronavirus out of control.
Vaccines prevent, they don't cure. And no, any vaccine released will probably have a few / 100k mortality rate. They might not have good prevention rates, at least the early ones until they get it right.
The stock market and the “economy” are the least of your worries.
Not exactly since that is the #1 priority for the Powers That Be. The little people's lives come are secondary to keeping the big machine going.

Yep, the information from South Korea is what bears paying attention to.
You can’t believe anything the ChiComs say. I have to assume the South Koreans will paint a much more accurate picture.
I believe as of now there are 3 cases in Seoul, this could be the tripwire, a city of 10 million, with a density of 17,000 per square kilometer.
Even at 2% mortality the virus is very serious. The rate in Italy is 1% but it's still very early in that outbreak.

Most of the 750M don't have the virus, or they do and the mortality is incredibly low. The young healthy people dying is a big concern of course, but we don't know that rate at all.
I like the threads. The useful information in them is very valuable.
Two wrongs dont make a right.
Wrong Number 1 - Being hamstrung by your dependence on China.
Wrong Number 2 - Using incompetence as an excuse to not control wrong number 1.
Let’s hope the powers that be will learn a valuable lesson and not put all of your economic eggs into one basket.
