Coronavirus could impact 5 million companies worldwide, new research shows

KEY POINTS
A special briefing issued by global business research firm Dun & Bradstreet analyzed the Chinese provinces most impacted by the virus, and found they are intricately linked to the global business network.
Almost half (49%) of the companies with subsidiaries in impacted regions are headquartered in Hong Kong, while the U.S. accounts for 19%, Japan 12% and Germany 5%.
Dun & Bradstreet researchers found that at least 51,000 companies worldwide, 163 of which are in the Fortune 1000, have one or more direct or “tier 1” suppliers in the impacted region.

I realize this has had to be a harrowing experience, for all, but listen to the whiny cry baby who’s mad that America took so long to evacuate them (yeah, THEIR choice to board the dang ship), as she’s going to lose another 14 days from her life, in another quarantine...whaaaaah.... vs a few who are especially grateful to be getting off of the ship....
I have to think they are being propped up some. I know a lot of people here, tho, who are pretty confident that this won’t be bad outside China.
Just a taste of our world to come. I can hear it now: “You’ve had three weeks to get a vaccine? And nothing?”
Her snowflake, entitlement-minded response is 180 degrees compared to the mature, reasonable response by the woman right after. Does she realize what the US had to go through, and people that could have possibly been exposed to get them out? The lady right after was reasonable. I’m surprised CNN actually showed someone praising President Trump.
My thoughts, exacly.

It keeps the lung secretions thin and moving. Likely keeping the carcinogens from remaining immobile long enough to induce damage.

OMAHA, Neb. (KABC) — A couple from Santa Clarita who was on a coronavirus-stricken cruise ship in Japan were diverted from California to Nebraska after the husband became ill, officials say.
Jeri Seratt-Goldman says her husband, Carl Goldman, came down with a fever two hours into the flight to Travis Air Force Base in Northern California and was placed into the isolated section of the plane. The couple was among some 380 Americans who boarded a flight Sunday from Tokyo, where the passengers were quarantined on the Diamond Princess for nearly two weeks.

That woman should just be thanking God she isn’t sick. People are going to need to steel themselves for this.
I’m one of those that want us to be out of the woods. I keep thinking of the Feb 5 flight lockdown and counting days. But then as you said, there’s the Ontario couple still shedding and that’s pretty spooky.

Of course I want us to be out of the woods too. No sane person wants an epidemic. I’m just saying I don’t think we are out of the woods yet. It’s just my opinion, and we will know one way or another soon enough.
I don’t post the news because I’m a doomer, but to help us prepare. The news gives us clues to what is really happening. As they say, watch what they do, not just what they say.
Im concerned about President Trump going to India in a few weeks.
