Last summer I posted about my prostate cancer predicament. Opted for radical prostatectomy (robotic) and found a good surgeon in the North Dallas/Irving area.
Three month follow up PSA: 0.04, just below undetectable Six month follow up PSA: >0.02, lower limit of undetectable
Praise God! I was really having a hard year because of this. Now almost completely continent, and It is coming back :)
Thanks to FReepers whove been praying and counseling me on this trial.
Congratulations. Since I had the choice, I opted for HDR radiation. I didnt think I could deal with the recovery from surgery. PSA is on the way down.
SUPER
Wonderful news! Praise God!
Congrats and Praise the Lord!!
Thank you FRiend, for the awesome report, and thank You Lord,
for strength, guidance and FAITH :)

Search the name “Joe Tippens” if you know someone with cancer and things are not going well. He has a very interesting story to tell about how he beat cancer.
AWESOME! Congrats!
My 70 yr old husband had the same thing with the DaVinci Robot two months ago. Freaking amazing. Google the pics of the machine.
All the nerves were preserved and he's pretty much back to his old self.
Get your yearly digital (that's right, the finger) exams, gentlemen. The PSA blood test is not enough.
God Bless You!
You will very likely need some follow up radiation, but you are doing great so far.
I was diagnosed with Stage 4 metastatic prostate cancer with 8 bone mets 5.5 years ago. There is no cure, but I am doing extremely well on the second level Androgen Depravation Therapy drug Xtandi. PSA has been 0.0 for the past 12 months.
Men get a yearly PSA test. It can save you a lot of grief.
I too have Prostate cancer however mine was caught very early. I opted for the new, at the time, HIFU (High Intensity Focused Ultrasound) treatment, with optimum results.
Congratulations fwdude!,
Really great news.
Congratulations.
I went the focused radiation route 2 years ago with a PSA of only 14, but it was Stage IIB (cancer cells throughout and just a shade outside of the prostate).
A friend of mine had a PSA reading of 20, but his biopsy disproved cancer. Go figure.
My PSA is now below the lab thresh-hold minimum due to a hormone blocker, which ends in April. Looking forward to it staying that way.
Congratulations. Thanks for the information. If something else doesn’t kill us first most men will face this eventually to some degree.
My Dad just let it go for some reason known only to God and it was stage 4 before I came home to suspect it and get him to go to the doctor. By then it was far too late. Why he did what he did I will never understand.
Congrats on the good news !
Indeed we are in a good area for medical.
Make sure you change your diet if you haven’t already.
No more sugars. They cause and feed cancer. Fast from time to time as well. Causes body to eat bad cells.
DaVinci Robot two months ago. Freaking amazing. Google the pics of the machine.
WOW!

Thanks.
My digitals showed nothing, not a lump. It took 3 biopsies to find a bit of Gleason 3 + 3 cancer, the only indication was a rising PSA. Thank God for vigilant doctors that I had. I would have blown it off otherwise.
Bkmk cancer
