Meanwhile, despite his claim, no study has yet proved that hot toddies can cure the virus.

I'll probably try it as a vaccine.

My 75 year old father, who has been sick all of 8 hours in his entire life, is a big believer in hot toddies at the first sign of not feeling well. I’m all for it.

He should bottle it by the wagon full and travel the country selling from atop a Bloomberg Box!

75% if those who catch the virus have “mild symptoms” and recover easily.

The death rate is about 2%.

80% of those who have died were elderly and/or suffering from serious health issues before catching the virus.

When I was a boy, my mother used to make me a hot toddy whenever it looked like I was coming down with the cold.

I eventually learned to fake having a cold a lot!

I swear by the “whiskey cure.” In my case, Scotch...straight or warm with honey and lemon - and you have to drink it as soon as you get that scratchy feeling or the beginnings of a fever. Although it seems as if this guy kept “dosing” himself throughout, which would probably work too if the hangover didn’t kill you first.

Good whiskey with honey, lemon, and a touch of cayenne pepper with hot water.

I'll need to see a picture of his honey before I'll believe it.

I got rid of a cold once by eating some real hot chili and sweating it out of me. So sounds plausible to me.

I can believe that since I'm sure no one has done a study on it.

I didn’t know a common man could get a good whiskey in China.

They’re hard enough to find around these parts, much less THERE.

This agrees with my Father’s cure. If he got a cold, he would consume large quantities of Cutty Sark. Worked every time.
