Yeah, but the British spell “Whiskey” without the “e”. As does Japan and Canada.
Apparently, the ATF uses “whisky” in its definition, but allows the use of “whiskey” by distillers, probably bottlers, too.
In China, they have “baijiu” as a hard liquor, traditionally aged in clay jars.
Probably easier to get since he’s run out of whisk[e]y.
