Supporters of Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., and Andrew Yang pushed false conspiracy theories on Twitter over the weekend tied to the canceled Des Moines Register poll, effectively commandeering a trending hashtag to convey the idea that their candidates are more successful than the public has been led to believe.
The Des Moines Register poll, a closely watched indicator of the Iowa race, was canceled after at least one interviewer apparently omitted Pete Buttigiegs name from the randomized list of candidates the surveyor read. The political website Axios reported that the reason for the error was that an interviewer increased the font size of the questionnaire on a computer screen, leaving the bottom choice invisible.
But supporters of Sanders and Yang decided, without evidence, that the reason for the polls cancellation had to be that their candidates had high poll numbers, which the newspaper or the polling company wanted to suppress for some reason. (The Des Moines Register poll is actually one of the most respected polls in the country, known for its integrity and accuracy.)
Sanders and Yang supporters flooded the hashtag, #ReleaseThePoll, which was one of the top trends on Saturday night.(snip)
The trending topic was pushed even further up the trending topics leaderboard by supporters of Yang, who hopped onto the hashtag 45 minutes later with an identical conspiracy theory, claiming with no evidence that the poll was pulled because it showed Yang jumping up several points. Some even claimed, also without any evidence, that Yang had taken the lead in the unreleased poll.
Conspiracy theorists are looking for unusual events such as this, Grygiel said of the poll being canceled

All one dozen of them in Iowa?
Just another cover up job by NBC
Joe Biden is leading in the Iowa polls.
Joe Biden has always been leading in the Iowa polls.
2+2 = 5
Orwell would be proud.
That’s because, like all the other mouthpieces at NBC News, he’s a shill for the DNC.
How many other polls were manipulated?
Conspiracy theory = not the official, establishment narrative
The more they deny it is a conspiracy, the more I believe it is a conspiracy.
Yep, they are deeming it “debunked”.
Ask Ben if it is a conspiracy theory than CNN and the DNC coordinated in 2016 to deny Bernie the nomination.
NBC calls it a false conspiracy theory.
How could they possibly know it’s false if the results haven’t been released?
Oddly that phrase never appears with the MSM reporting of Schiff lies.
If Sanders wins tonight, the Dem apparatchiks will go into meltdown..........
> Supporters of Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., and Andrew Yang pushed false conspiracy theories... <
Once again we see an opinion inserted into a news article. I have no idea if the poll was rigged or not. But a good reporter would have said:
Supporters of Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., and Andrew Yang pushed conspiracy theories...
Finally, a mayor Pete fan was found when his name was randomized to the bottom and a complaint was called in. I think the entire thing largely canceled out; certainly shouldn't invalidate the entire poll. Sounds like Biden must be doing really badly on this last poll.
I doubt he has that many supporters in the whole USA.
Ann Selzer is a leftist manipulator. The MSM considers her the gold standard of Iowa polling.
Probably Warren is sinking like a stone and wanted to cover it up.
Whenever the mainstream media finds the need to trot out "conspiracy theory" and "no evidence" then you can bet that the conspiracy is true.
sanders has every right in the world to be paranoid about getting shafted in the primaries, having just been shafted in the primaries.
From a prior thread =>
