Per the Daily Mail, hospitals in the US can easily do the test in 4-6 hours to confirm the virus but the FDA is not giving them permission so the hospitals must send it to the CDC which takes days.

UPDATE : 6 Sri Lankan sailors displaying symptoms of Coronavirus

Colombo (News 1st) – The Merchant Shipping Association of Sri Lanka stated that 6 sailors of a ship travelling from China to Egypt had fallen ill. President of the Association of Palitha Athukorala said that that the seamen who had fallen ill were onboard the CMA CGM URAL vessal. According to satellite data the ship had been docked at 3 Chinese ports for over 5 days. On the 11th of this month the ship was docked at the Port of Ningbo, on the 13th at the Xiamen Port, and the ship had then docked at the Shekou Port. The ship arrived in Singapore on the 18th of this month. The ports at which this ship docked at are located in close proximity to the town of Wuhan, which was identified as the epicenter of the coronavirus. The port of Ningbo is located 922 km away from Wuhan. This morning the ship was sailing close to Galle Sri Lanka and the ship is due to sail close to Egypt on the 30th of January.

A nurse from Beijing has reportedly said there are over 90,000 cases of it in China. With the Chinese government isolating more cities and actually having the military surround Wuhan to make sure no one gets in or out. They are taking pretty severe steps if there is less than 3,000 infected as they claim.

I had the flu a couple of years ago. I thought I would die. I am entering 70th year, and I think if I catch it again, I will probably die. I was sick in bed for 3 months. it wasn’t Corona Beer Virus. Just flu. Hoped to die. I had no energy for many many months. This is 4th time I had really bad flu. Yes I had flu shot.

To tie in with the response level under the “Preparedness and Response Plan for Novel Infectious Disease of Public Health Significance” being raised to Emergency Response Level and avoid people from gathering, the Leisure and Cultural Services Department announced today (January 28) that the following LCSD cultural and leisure facilities will be temporarily closed from tomorrow (January 29) and recreational, sports and cultural programmes held at these venues will be cancelled until further notice.

Land sports facilities and aquatic facilities temporarily closed include all sports centres, sports grounds, grass pitches, artificial turf soccer pitches, tennis courts, squash courts, bowling greens, golf facilities, public swimming pools, beaches, Tuen Mun Recreation and Sports Centre, water sports centres and holiday camps. Cultural facilities include all museums, performance venues, public libraries and their study rooms, mobile libraries, and music centres of the Music Office.

The doctor in China who died was infected and 9 days later he died. He was not infected as he came out of retirement to help out.

Wait until people start dropping and events are cancelled and the economy really falters.

Pres Trump should have stopped all flights and people coming from China by now.

This could be his Waterloo.-what defeats his Presidency. After all what he has out up with the last 3 years.
