He said basically 3-14 day quarantine. If 14 then should be good, but less than that.. not ok!
And why not the same restrictions for every flight from China?
And it just bothers me they are still using language like “checked for symptoms “. Why isnt the word out to EVERYONE that asymptomatic people can be carriers? This idea is not that hard to understand!

I wrote him an email telling him everyone should not assume they are ok, they should assume they are sick because they can shed virus and have zero symptoms.
He probably lives in a gated community to boot.

Good. It boggles my mind that “officials” in health care and transportation industries seem to know less than we do on FR, which normally would be eye-rolling funny, but this is life and death!
I want to know how long the asymptomatic carriers shed. Do they go through normal disease progression and eventually stop shedding or do they just shed indefinitely.
I think they DO know.
So why statements like that? Im just stunned to still be hearing this 3-4-5 days after we were aware about that. They dont have to panic people, they could just say “ in an abundance of caution we will ...”
My mind can get very cynical thoughts but don’t want to go there...

If this is an epidemic, think how much the CDC budget would be increased. It could never be decreased (even to cut the rate of increase) ever again.

Yeah, mine too. And I agree that it’s nuts that they will do these measures while other flights from China just walk on in with maybe a temp scan.
So many well known experts in the US are trying to sound the alarm, its very hard not to be aware of what is going on, much less someone in that field.
Is this the scorched earth move to take down Trump? We know that for some, the end justifies the means, not matter how much “collateral” damage (lives) are lost. Hey, and they get some depopulation to boot.

This is how they will get rid of him.
If we have an epidemic it will absolutely crash the economy. And there will probably be at least one dead kid to make the news cycle every day for weeks. All because Trump didn’t do something.
Trump (like all Presidents) pretty much has (by law) close to dictatorial powers during certain national emergencies.
It'd be pretty pig-fornicatingly-stupid of them to give him those powers on a silver platter...
