trump already has shut travel - level 3 restrictions - no travel unless critical need. Canada has followed suit as has Australia and the UK.
Turkey has closed it's borders right after NKorea banned foreigners.
Taiwan/ HongKong/ Philippines barring entry from Hubei province
China has banned outgoing tour groups leaving for other countries Cummins and automakers are pulling workers out (Nissan, Fiat, GM etc)
Royal Caribbean/Carnival Cruises cancelling sail dates
Delta Airlines/AirBnB refunding flights/bookings booked up to Jan 31
FaceBook/Razer also restricting employee travel and telling returning employees to work from home

You may want to start a spread sheet.

There you can add in a column on growth percent per day.

You can also set up a mortality rate column.

Right now the mortality rage is 2.39%.

I know folks say there are many cases outside the hospitals. Not sure how we document them.

How do we get an accurate count? How do we get an accurate mortality rate.

I think the hospital mortality rates should be pretty accurate, and of course that’s only if China is shooting straight with it’s data.

You are correct about the patients eating up resources. There are limited resources. This leads to more infected. This leads to fewer people producing, and so on. The length of recovery means a lot here. Ebola kills fast. This seems to linger for a long time.

This is going to be like watching a boa constrictor on their economy.

not sure what is going on with that. One article said that all flights from China can only go to 5 airports (but didn’t identify which 5). Pence gave a speech and said that we were checking passengers at 20 airports. Anybody’s guess.

I have to go through LAX tomorrow, American Airlines Terminal 4. Tried to buy a face mask (Medical Mask) tonite in Orange, CA. Went to 6 places including WalGreens, Rite Aid, Target, Wal Mart, and in every location........sold out. Shelf space empty.
