I had the flu a couple of years ago. I thought I would die. I am entering 70th year, and I think if I catch it again, I will probably die. I was sick in bed for 3 months. it wasn’t Corona Beer Virus. Just flu. Hoped to die. I had no energy for many many months. This is 4th time I had really bad flu. Yes I had flu shot.

I feel your pain. Caught H1N1 (diagnosed in the hospital) earlier this month. Was on an 2 day business trip out of state. Ended up staying 9 days because I was too sick to travel. Sickest I’ve ever been. I’ve never had the flu. I can totally see how H1N1 kills people. I had fever high enough to hallucinate. Unbearable body pain and headache and in less than 24 hours developed a severe cough with phlegm you could mortar stone with.
my 84 y.o.father died of flu last spring. elderly can’t handle the respiratory issues. 80k die in the u.s. each year.
