Bring Out Your Dead

So far the false positive rate is 100%.

At some point we may well have a high mortality pandemic, and likely as not the “Bring Out Your Dead” threads will miss the beginning entirely.

How many people outside of China have been positively tested for the virus and HAVEN’T travelled from China in the last 30 days?

So far, there is only one possible person-to-person transfer, outside of China, and that’s in Canada - a couple that traveled to China. The husband came down with it first, and a few days later the wife. But but she may have acquired it in China too, it had latent symptoms.

That’s the only reason WHO has made this a worldwide alert yet. If we see person-to-person transfers in the next 10 Days, it will be a big deal.

yes i know but i see people just using current deaths and dividing by the current number of cases.... magically the 855 people in serious or critical condition all will survive I guess....

yes i know many cases will be missed but that is how they figured out the SARS death rate... deaths/KNOWN CASES... and I’m sure they missed many SARS cases too
