The family of Kristin Smart, the California college student who vanished 23 years ago after attending a party near her school, was reportedly told by federal agents to be prepared for news and to secure a family spokesperson.
Denise Smart, the woman's mother, told the Stockton Record that she was contacted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and was told to "be ready."
"This is really going to be something you don't expect. We want to give you the support you need," she said she was told.
The report said the FBI was not clear on what the development was, she was told that her family might want to "get away for a while," and she should secure a family spokesperson.

I don’t think I believe the story.
This article reinforces those of us who feel that the FBI and local LEO’s involved on this case have new evidence and are trying make the guilty ones run.

Thanks for posting the link above.
Hmm, but then why would the FBI say: “This is really going to be something you don’t expect”?
I think after 23 years you probably would expect to hear that she was dead.

Guy who says he walked her to her dorm.
F the FBI.
“They are going to arrest P.F.
Guy who says he walked her to her dorm.”
Police thought he did it but did not have enough evidence. He came from a very wealthy family and he lawyered up and the case went nowhere.
FYI
Murderer Scott Peterson went to school with her as well!!!!!
Being completely irrelevant and snarky, I know.
The big surprise is that they have a granddaughter, Alexandria Occasionally Coherent.
Sounds like a prank.
The FBI is basically saying pull my finger.
A lot of the homeless die and end up in morgues waiting to be claimed. Don't know how long they stay there but eventually they are disposed of in some way and any family members are none the wiser.....
Ding. Ding. Ding. Winner, I believe you have the answer
Anxious to hear all that will be revealed.
“It appears 600k people go missing every year. “
A 17 year old girl from a town near me disappeared in 1972. Had a fight with her parents and left. Witnesses saw her hitchhiking near a gas station and getting into a car with a group of people.
Never seen again. Her dad hired a private investigator and found out her SS number was used for employment in the mid 70’s in a state across the country but then stopped. The employees description sorta matched her
I think some people just want to disappear.
“More people in every day work watch to much reality tv.”
Google translated from Chinese?
YIKES!
Too many people, in their every day lives, watch too much reality television.
Just a GUESS.
Seems a good guess...
I read it differently: “too many people who do more ordinary work [than LE, FBI, etc.) watch too much reality tv”.
Bkmk SLO
David Paulides...
His videos suggest a paranormal angle to disappearances.
National parks and forests are huge no go zones from what I gather. Havent spent much time listening or watching his stuff, but he definitely goes down rabbit holes most would never guess.
