hen it comes to love, as the song says, birds, bees, even educated fleas do it.
But that old, catchy Cole Porter tune certainly didn't consider the impact of fleas -- educated or not -- and other creepy hair crawlers on a woman's ability to love a man with a beard.
According to a new study, if a woman runs screaming from hair-dwelling creatures such as lice, ticks, fleas and the like, she's likely to find men with beards much less attractive.
It's on an unconscious level, of course. But from the viewpoint of her inner animal brain, who wants to pucker up to a mouth fringed by a thicket of hair that might contain tiny, squirmy, maggot-like creatures?

Thanks for posting that pic.
It’s a fairly good impression of a hipster/soyboy look.
I saw a dude the other day who looked just like this tooling down the street on his skateboard.
Now that’s embarrassing — a guy who looked to be in his late 20s or even early 30s riding a skateboard.
Personally, I’ve always preferred to remain clean shaven with a trimmed mustache. Sideburns should be cropped to the break of the ear. Hair well up off the ears.
Thirty-five years after my Army discharge, I could still pass inspection!
I wonder if Pajama Boy has now grown a beard?
Yikes! Looks like he did!
I often have to work outside in the winter.
A beard helps considerably to keep your head warm.
I used to grow one every winter and shave it in the spring but my daughter and my wife doesnt like me to shave it so Ive had one for years.
BTW Jesus had a traditional beard, however he was not an effeminate faggoty looking fellow like portrayed in images of him. He was a rugged mans man as any carpenter would have been at 30 years old. No jerrycurl manscaped metrosexual.

“It must be true that beards were more common in the old days because shaving was not as easy at it is now.”
Certainly, though it is said Alexander required his warriors to be clean shaven, around 330 b.c.
“Today a man chooses a beard because he thinks it makes him look better. Nothing wrong with that”
That may be true for some, but let’s not discount a factor that I think a majority of beards are born out of pure laziness. I keep a goatee, my wife likes it, which is great because the only reason I don’t go completely clean shaven is because I save alot of time and work by keeping the goatee.
How many fat lazy slobs do you see with a nasty beard? A ton actually and its not because they think they look good with it.
62 here
Been without a beard a total of three days since 1974
See my homepage to see if you think it bothered the girls
My wife would defenestrate me were I to shave
She doesnt care if short or full just keep it clean and groomed
I usually sport a van dyke
But go full chapter president on occasion
Why?
Im uglier beardless...any woman knows or knew me will or would attest
Another good deterrent is don’t pick your nose...not that there’s anything wrong with that :)

I accept your wisdom regarding bearded people.
I have thought that stubby beards are the result of laziness.
Not that I am an expert on your religion, but I did work as a driver for tour guides in Israel for generally non-Jewish tourists. I went to every relevant site repeatedly and heard many a speech.
The Aramaic word for his profession best translates to construction worker, not carpenter. Probably a brick layer or mason, although that is not for certain.
Anyway, this adds to your tough guy argument.
I think it says alot about a man that is willing to keep his beard trimmed. At least put some effort into it ya know? If you cant be bothered to keep it brushed and keep it off the neck and cheeks, just what kind of lazy bum are you? Does that laziness spread into other aspects of your life and your job, if you even have one? Neck beard has to be one of the more disgusting fads I’ve witnessed.
Thanks, I got more curious...
Certain home treatments can help get rid of D. folliculorum while also preventing them from spreading. Gently scrub your eyelashes with a 50 percent solution of tea tree oil. Then apply tea tree oil to kill any eggs left behind. The tea tree oil should get rid of mites and mite eggs.

Ha, and here we are for $9.99!
I read recently that women found shaved men more attractive than bearded men. They found bearded men more masculine though.
many blacks have a condition called pseudofolliculitis barbae. They have to grow a beard so that they do get a face full of ingrown hairs.
