There appear to be two significant developments as it relates to Tom Brady's future, which were revealed on Tuesday's The Greg Hill Show by Greg Hill himself.
The Brady suite at Gillette Stadium where (Gisele Bundchen) has been known to watch her husband play football has been cleaned out," he said.
Hill added: It would appear to be, by those who are in the know, that it has been cleaned out in way that perhaps it has never has been cleaned out before.
In addition, Hill said Brady and his family have already moved out of their Brookline, Massachusetts home and moved into their recently purchased home in Greenwich, Connecticut.
Of course, Brady will be a free agent on March 18 for the first time in his NFL career.
Appearing on Westwood One Radio with Jim Gray over the weekend, Brady said he will not be rushing to make any determination on his future.
The contract things I think a week after the season, I would say these things havent even started to pick up," Brady said. "That is not my concern at this point. It has been about decompressing and lessen my mind a little bit and resting my body and spending time with the people who have supported me over the last six months.
He added: Like I said, I've loved playing football and I have loved playing for this organization, so I really dont know what it is going to look like moving forward and I am just taking things day-by-day. Were a week removed from the end of our season. Theres a lot of time to figure these things out. I dont think any player or team is ready to make any commitments at this point and I am sure as the offseason progresses those things will take care of themselves.
Brady can re-sign with the Patriots at any point, but cannot speak to other teams until the legal tampering window opens on March 16.
Of course if Kansas City goes with the strategy of scoring on practically EVERY SINGLE drive after the first quarter, they could go pretty far.
It’s a good strategy.
What are some FReeper thoughts about the rumor that the Chargers might make a play for Brady? I know a guy that talks about it like it’s a done deal, but he also drinks too much and doesn’t seem to have any actual inside information. It looks like the words are coming out of his mouth, but there’s always a possibility that he’s talking out his ...
Greenwich is close to NYC.
Giants? He could switch places with Eli.
Jets? Darnold’s rating is somewhat worse than Daniel Jones’.
That makes some sense. How is Miami’s o-line?
I still believe hell stay in NE for two years.
I hate writing about him because I cannot spell his last name without having to go look it up.
So Tom Brady will play for the Giants?
I think it depends on what he wants to do when he’s done playing. And I don’t see a contender wanting him on the roster and guaranteeing he’ll be the starter.
It’s going to have to be a team that doesn’t have a starting caliber quarterback, and those teams probably won’t be very good, but still where he’ll have some marquee value and put some butts in the seats, and by all accounts, to me, that’s why I think the Dolphins would be the best fit.
I think Brady wants to play for a team where he can be a part of the organization in some capacity when he’s done playing.
I’m of Italian descent and I can’t remember it each time :)
My last name has Three vowels in a row right in the middle of it.
It is Never pronounced correctly nor is it ever spelled correctly.
And try telling customer service over the phone a last name with three vowels in a row.
they must think it’s impossible because it takes half a dozen times to spell it to them.
Who cares?
Yeah what’s his name there now has played for every team in the league, I think :)
Usually good, Never great. That’s why he’s a journeyman.
Can’t remember the name but he was with my Jets for a few years.
Moreover, I believe he benefits greatly from his 20 year relationship with the Patriots, and especially, Bill Belichik. Those two probably dont even need to talk to know what the other is thinking. I also believe that Brady gets A LOT of input in new additions to the team.
Hell be starting from scratch with a new team. And as you say, at 40 years old, it will be a very difficult switch.
That, too, is a possibility.............
Reminds me somewhat of Joe Montana finishing his career out with Kansas City. With the right fit, Brady could have a couple good years left, but he won’t want to go just to be a mentor to a young QB. Any interest from NFC teams?
Look what Peyton Manning was able to do for the Broncos for the last few years of his career.
Greenwich is just across the state line from New York and New York City. I hear there are two metro NY teams that could use a good, if older, quarterback.
Been there, done that....
Skip Bayless and Shannon Sharpe have noted that....................
