I would only work on time travel if an older me came back and told me it was possible and how it works. Otherwise I’m just going to assume it doesn’t work.
Time has a magnitude but no direction, so it’s a scalar. You can slow it down but you can’t make it go backwards. That’s basic Relativity.
> Mallett, who is a respected physics professor, claimed that he had written a scientific equation that could serve as the basis for time travel <
Hes more than a hundred years too late. Einsteins Theory of Relativity showed that time travel is possible.
A few of Als key points, for anyone who is interested:
1. Time travel is possible, but into the future only.
2. All the time traveller need do is move. And the faster you move, the more you travel into the future.
3. Significant time travel only occurs when the object moves close to the speed of light.
This has all been verified experimentally. Atomic clocks were placed on fast jets. The jets then crossed vast distances. The clocks behaved just as Einsteins equations predicted they would.

You time travel every time you hop in your car to go to the store. It’s basic relativity. That’s why GPS satellites have to have a time-correction of 45 micro-seconds/day. Time travel is easy: just go fast or hang out near a strong gravitational field. You can slow and speed up your time relative to everything else. Problem is, you can’t make it go backwards.
Zathras knows how it works but Zathras isn’t telling.

Respected physics professor should start drinking less...
I was just discussing this with someone next week.
>>It’s a goal that he has been pursuing for most of his life and although the 74-year-old admits that he is unlikely to see time travel became a reality during his lifetime
If you can travel in time, “during your lifetime” becomes irrelevant. Someone could pop back and grab him.
Tardis Express - When it absolutely, positively has to get there yesterday !
Well the future hasn’t happened yet and the past is done so basically we just live in the present but now it’s the past where I just wrote this which is the future to that past and now I gotta fly ....
Time is relative, dependent, you can save it, you can spend it
Doing things you like to do or learning how
You can’t see it, you can’t taste it...
But you certainly can waste it...
Which is really what we’re doing here right now
I am traveling thru time as is everyone else.
another officious communist’s green new deal promotes and pushes for time travel...

Time travel!
When do we want it?
Doesn't matter!
Good, can he go back to the 1950s and make people take Sen. Joe McCarthy more seriously?
