LG, I had the same experience during 2012. I was supporting Huckabee during the primary.
The opposition to my choice was vicious and cruel. I was followed around and horrible epithets of Huckabee were posted to me
I ducked out pretty much because I couldn’t support Romney. I held my nose and voted for him, but couldn’t support him here.
I was still working full-time. Really didn’t post here much until after retirement. Worked too many 60+ hour weeks to have time.
About the same here. That was the meanest most disruptive group and so many people were suckered into their craziness. Had a really good research thread that was completely pulled because two SH actually purposely started arguments with people who had been adding to the threads and then hit abuse button.
I ended up on another conservative site, can’t even remember what it’s name was, and I saw many freepers on there.
I couldn’t understand why folks had to get so mean and nasty to each other.
I felt like I had entered the Twilight Zone.
I think we were infiltrated by the opposition.
We need to really watch for that in 2020.

Our prayers are with the families of the victims and the congregation of yesterday’s church attack. It was over in 6 seconds thanks to the brave parishioners who acted to protect 242 fellow worshippers. Lives were saved by these heroes, and Texas laws allowing them to carry arms!

Getting advance notice that someone interesting is going to be on TV later or that Trump will be having a presser, etc. is one of the wonderful aspects of the Trump Train Family thread. I then set my DVR to make sure I won’t miss broadcasts I will like. Thanks to all who post about these events.
