It was a heart valve in the left lower ventricular that was sticking. ( watched it on the monitor. ) It qualified him for hospice
But we did have UTI medicated, and his pancreas was also infected and he needed at GJ tube for several months. We didn’t medicate his heart. Dr didn’t recommend surgery because of his age and as he told both that dr and the urologist he wouldn’t have done it if they did recommend it.

My grandkids just took me to Walgreens to private t some pictures. We went to the car, the. I went back in for something else, and got the clerk to print pictures while I was there. I’m checking out and two of them come in, looking concerned.
Lol, two cops had come in separate cars while I was in there because of a shoplifters. The kids saw the cops and wondered what trouble grandma had gotten into this time.
Thanks, I’ll have to try this.

What memories you are making.
Mine was 86.
I was grateful to have him so long, and in his right mind.
Mom died in 2011, almost 94, but had dementia in her remaining years. Stuck in a loop in 1941. Sad.
Dementia, a terrible thing for your mom and the family, the “long goodbye.”
My mom had a massive stroke Labor Day 2000.
She was in a care facility and my dad was not doing well missing her so, would not take care of himself even tho he was living with my oldest sister.
Mom was also 85 when she died a little over a year after daddy.
And now here we are at the age when our children are worried about us as we worried about our aging folks.
