Homo erectus, one of modern humans' direct ancestors, was a wandering bunch. After the species dispersed from Africa about two million years ago, it colonized the ancient world, which included Asia and possibly Europe. But about 400,000 years ago, Homo erectus essentially vanished. The lone exception was a spot called Ngandong, on the Indonesian island of Java. But scientists were unable to agree on a precise time period for the site...A new study...dates the last existence of Homo erectus at Ngandong between 108,000 and 117,000 years ago.

Re: Last Known Homo Erectus Settlement
“A New Study”......Grant Money is Forever!!
I read this the other day, thank you for posting it. I found it interesting that they may have perished because it got too wet for them rather than getting too dry as with many ancient species and cultures during past droughts.
Homo erectus or homo brainless.
As a self admitted proud fudge packer,I’m sure he has a long list.....
The “Out of Africa” theory has modern Homo Sapiens leaving the continent around 70-60,000 years ago. Why would the last Homo Erectus die out 30,000 years BEFORE then?
What about Homo Heidelbergensis? Homo Neanderthalensis? Homo Denisovansis?
What about ADAM & EVE? All humans can be traced back to the first couple.
God told Adam to leave his father & mother and bond to his wife Eve.
Who was Adam’s mother?

Time for you to do some homework!
God told Adam to leave his father & mother and bond to his wife Eve.
That is not how I read the following explanation of marriage. Nothing about either of them having a mother.
24 Wherefore a man shall leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they shall be two in one flesh.
Curiously, that is just about the same time period when Neanderthals began to expand.
I know that one common theory is that Neanderthals may have evolved from Homo Erectus.
Artifacts and a few fossils of modern humans dating back 100,000 years have been found in Israel and the Caucasus region between the Black Sea and the Caspian, so it appears that modern humans were also on the move earlier than thought.
Curiously, once again, modern humans appear to have migrated towards Persia, India and southeast Asia for about 20,000 years before they made a U-turn and marched back across southern Asia, along the northern Black Sea coast, and into Europe, about 40,000 years ago.
The Neanderthals went extinct in Europe just about the same time that modern humans arrived.
Don’t go off half-cocked. Tell me what happened then.
I didn’t say it was my theory, just that it was the “Out-of-Africa” theory.
Does Buttgiger know any homo erectuses?
LOL, I heard homo erectus colonized San Francisco.
As recorded in Genesis chapter 2, God created Adam first, and then Eve. God Himself brought Eve to Adam. God Himself ordained that they would be joined together in holy matrimony. He said that the two of them would become one flesh.
The out of Africa theory has been thoroughly debunked by recent genetic studies.
Please point out those studies for me.
I’m not trying to dispute you but learn more about recent discoveries in regarding human evolution.
It’s very fascinating to me and especially genetic discoveries.
Well, the BBC doesn’t seem to think so:
BATTLE FOR EARTH Homo Erectus vs Homo Sapiens

Not saying you are wrong, but they are saying Erectus hunted and ATE Sapiens...
