EGYPT 2000 BC: Drills were used that turned 500X faster than today's power drills and bored into granite rock with ease.
Dentists worked with cement fillings, dental bridges, and inserted artificial teeth.
Doctors performed pregnancy tests, determined the sex of an unborn child, fed nourishment through tubes, fitted artificial legs and hands; and used anesthetic and sophisticated instruments to perform bone and brain surgery?
Mysterious moving walls, automatically flashing lights and lamps that shone century after century, non-stop?
A detailed map of Antarctica dating back thousands of years, without ice!
A 400 ft pyramid was found on the seabed.
44 skeletons were excavated in Pakistan dating to about 2000BC and found to be radioactive!
There are 25 places around the world which show hard evidence that atomic warfare was used thousands of years ago.
In Peru, 4-dimensional art with several faces that disappear or change into other figures, according to your position or that of the sun.
Dinosaurs and people coexisted.
There are approximately 600 legends worldwide that a world flood took place about 4,400 years ago.
....and hundreds more!
“Ancient astronaut theorists suggest...”
Ummm. Yeah.
Basically, what the scientists will do, in their attempt to extend human life is solve one small problem at a time until the accumulation of small solved problems ends up adding years to our life span.
I question whether they will be allowed to do more than make life more functional. I tend to be doubtful that God will allow any major gains in this area before ending things.
Actually, it is thought they were building a kind of "portal" to the heavenly dimension. A kind of artificial Mt Hermon, which was the portal through which the "watchers" were said to have had ingress and egress to and from our dimension.
BTW, keep in mind that it was Nimrod who was the driving force for the Tower of Babel. Nimrod was himself a demigod (half-breed or Nephilim). Nimrod was, it has been said, trying to regain access to the world from which he and/or his ancestors had been ejected (in the Fall of Angels).
And, more importantly, a “powerful” (egotistic) Man would not follow God...
Heiser's work is all grounded in the Bible and in Sumeria/Mesopotamian literature...and it supports what was thought to be true by many authoritative Biblical scholars at the time of the Birth of Christ and before.
I have always believed that to be 100% true. We do not serve a homicidal God. Well stated.
There is reason to believe that radioactive traces, vitrified sand, metal objects dated before smelting, and accounts of the destruction of cities by bombardment from the skies could all be due to meteor and comet impacts. This would require a rethinking of the traditional accounts of early civilization and human prehistory but does not provide evidence for help from aliens or that early human civilization was somehow in advance of modern technology.
I spent a decent amount of time working in the venture capital markets before I retired. I learned at an early age that people who do not work (in some way) with new ideas, inventions, discoveries, etc., have a difficult time understanding things not already present in our world and culture.
My skepticism comes from the understanding of the physical world that I achieved in getting a STEM Ph.D. A career within the STEM field intrinsically involves creativity and innovation.
I have no trouble understanding and accepting new ideas, etc. But when science fictiony ideas that are based on wishful thinking and fantasy come along, I pretty firmly reject them. There is a reason my husband and son do not like me to watch science fiction shows with them--I yell at the TV, telling it just how wrong its science *fiction* is. Any new idea, to be viable, must be based on what is possible within the laws of physics.
I've pondered whether it would be possible to put the brain in some sort of device that would provide nourishment, and how long a human brain would survive in such conditions. How could external input be fed into the brain, and how would it interact with the world? Certainly, the world of human/prosthetic interfaces would have to be greatly improved before that can happen. Then, how long could the brain remain in prime functional condition? Etc. There are a lot of technical issues regarding the biological functions that I could list here, but this post is already quite long enough.
We have already more than doubled the lifespan. But, regardless of the medical advances, there is a limit to how much more we can extend life. Immortality is not likely.
Just reality, please.
I think the potential.is there, just not the time to do it. Things are accelerating.
And I certainly think it is important to not entertain fantasy and pure fiction.
That said, and as you know, STEM professionals are not immune to being closed-minded when it comes to new ideas. In fact, I would say that it is the rule, not the exception that scientists can be among the most hard-headed when it comes to accepting new technologies, concepts, inventions.
As to science fiction, I agree. I was a fan as a child, but most of it is just plain silly from my vantage point as an adult.
And then......islam.
Ancient Aliens has done an episode on pretty much all these anomalies. It’s the basis for the show.
And Einstein in 1934: There is not the slightest indication that [nuclear energy] will ever be obtainable. It would mean that the atom would have to be shattered at will.

Michio Kaku wrote a good article on this subject: Impossible physics: Never say never
Travel a mile south or west of Palm Beach and you won't think so anymore.

Oh yeah? They didn’t have the internet.
but even with global access to information and knowledge people are not getting smarter or expressing wisdom of the ages.
Ah, an explanation for the inscrutable Oriental mind.
(And why they drive the way they do...)
“Drills were used that turned 500X faster than today’s power drills”
Where is there PROOF of this?
This is more BS about Aliens helped build the pyramids.
The thing that built the pyramids were elephants and slaves.
