Star of the upcoming film Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker Daisy Ridley asserted that "everyone has an issue with Trump every sane person anyway."
Speaking with The Guardian in an interview published over the weekend, the English actress took aim at both President Trump and British Prime Minister Boris Johnson. When asked if she finds it difficult to speak out about politics given that the Star Wars franchise is owned by family-friendly Disney, Ridley said, "No. I dont feel I have to edit what I say the things that make me angry are the things that make everyone angry."
"Everyone is annoyed with BoJo," she continued, referencing Johnson, leader of the nation's Conservative Party. "Everyone has an issue with Trump every sane person anyway. Its not that I dont talk about this stuff, but other people are so much more articulate than me and say it better."

Well, the good news is she’s now guaranteed to be invited to all the “cool” cocktail parties in Hollywood.
On the other hand, she’s also now pissed off MILLIONS of middle of the road, just-LET-US-*BE*-ALREADY potential moviegoers who will now want NOTHING to do with anything she’s ever in - again.
What is it with these “actresses” and “actors” that don’t understand the #1 rule of presenting, which is..
UNDERSTAND YOUR AUDIENCE.
Duh!
I sure enjoyed her performance in The Force Awakens,
But politically she is a bubble head
Before she somehow lucked into a part in the Star Wars movies her greatest claim to fame was playing a topless corpse in a morgue on an episode of a cable TV show.
I am not making this up. Here is one of the only PG rated picture I could find of Daisy Ridley displaying her great acting talent (and other things) while playing a topless corpse:
I tend to agree as to what a stinker this one could be. Here we are, 10 days from the opening, and I've seen one full trailer for the movie. Even more damning is that neither IMDB nor Rotten Tomatoes has a single review of the movie on their respective websites.
Sounds to me like Mickey Mouse Movie Studios wants to cash in on early revenues based on the hype before word gets out to the non-fan girls. I'm guessing it will do big numbers until New Years, then the box office will crater.
She’s Ok to look at, but eventually you have to try to have a conversation with her......
It was already going to suck, and now shes driven off half the crowd, the half with spending money.
The farce is strong with this one.
Alice Cooper, a longtime conservative, was once asked his opinion on Nixon. He said “ if you are looking to a rock band for advice on politics, you shouldn’t vote” Brilliant guy. Smart enough to not let politics get in the way of making a buck.
PS - I’m growing very tired of the “cool, superchick ninja warrior, ass kicking female” roles like this girl appears to play. That is SO freaking OVERDONE.
GIVE. US. A BREAK. ALREADY!!! It is getting SO old.
And FWIW, Kathleen Kennedy needs to get another gig and quit killing Star Wars. Some of us actually used to like the franchise (back in Eps 4-6)..
I think that with four or five years of acting training she could somewhat adequately portray a hairbrush.
Actors Are Pretty Stupid
Anthony Hopkins on Why He Doesnt Talk About Politics:
Actors Are Pretty Stupid
In a conversation with fellow actor Brad Pitt for a lengthy chat for Interview magazine, Anthony Hopkins explained why he seldom actually: never talks about politics... and why hes not a big fan of other actors talking about politics either. In short: Actors are pretty stupid.
People ask me questions about present situations in life, and I say, I dont know, Im just an actor, Hopkins told Pitt. I dont have any opinions. Actors are pretty stupid. My opinion is not worth anything. Theres no controversy for me, so dont engage me in it, because Im not going to participate.

There seems to have been an actual decline in rational thinking. The United States had become a place where entertainers like Linda Ronstadt and professional athletes were mistaken for people of importance.
They were idolized and treated as leaders; their opinions were sought on everything and they took themselves just as seriously after all, if an athlete is paid a million or more a year, he knows he is important so his opinions of foreign affairs and domestic policies must be important, too, even though he proves himself to be both ignorant and subliterate every time he opens his mouth. (Most of his fans were just as ignorant and unlettered; the disease was spreading.)

“’Hypocrite’ comes from the Greek word ‘hypokrites’, which means “an actor.”

Enough said.
Cheese & Crackers, Daisy ... Just shut up and act (or at least TRY).
Glad to know there are sane people in Hollywood.
Aren’t you a daisy.
Why hasn't he built the wall? Why hasn't he sent all 30 million illegal alien invaders back to Mexico?
Why isn't Hillary, Barack, Jerry, Adam, et. al. in Gitmo? Abe Lincoln nipped treason in the bud when he sent Democrat Congressmen to jail during the Civil War?
Why is Jane Fonda still breathing free air?
There's plenty of complaints I have against Trump. That said, I love the guy.
Well, there it is. Miss Ridley had a golden opportunity to keep her mouth shut. But she didn't take it, thereby confirming suspicions that she is a voluntary moron. Up until now I had separated her meaningless Star Wars character and wooden acting from evaluating Miss Ridley as a person. Now I see that Miss Ridley is every bit as worthless as the character she portrays.
She's 5' 2", 105 pounds of man killer. I'm pretty sure I or any guy who weighs more than 125 lbs. should be terrified of her. [/sarc]
Unknowable why Limey celebutards are compelled to comment on American politics when they have so much about which they can be concerned in their own country.
All right, I wasn’t going to see it. Now I definitely won’t go. Last one was mindless, senseless shoot em up with noise and flashing lights. No reason for me to go.
