“I don’t want a lot for Christmas” but for some, the one thing they do want is to hear the song again!
A poll across the UK has found that the most annoying Christmas song out there isn’t “Jingle Bells” or “Dominick the Donkey” or even “Grandma Got Run Over By a Reindeer” but rather Mariah Carey’s “All I Want For Christmas Is You," Variety reported.
Huawei, a mobile phone company, conducted the survey.
The Carey Christmas Classic may be the number one most annoying, but some other songs you hear on constant rotation on the radio also made the list, Variety reported.
1. “All I Want For Christmas Is You” by Mariah Carey
2. “Do They Know It’s Christmas?” by Band-Aid
3. “I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday,” by Wizzard
4. “Merry Xmas Everybody” by Slade
5. “Last Christmas” by Wham!
Also, they are really, really starting to overplay, “Baby It’s Cold Outside”.

I can’t stand any version of “12 Days of Christmas” except the one by Relient K - they slog through it in about 4 minutes, even including extra lyrics.
My local Christian radio station slips into all Christmas music after Thanksgiving. I am already Frostied out. I have to resort to playing “Chipmunks Roasting on an Open Fire” and “Walking Round in Women’s Underwear” to get my spirit back.
First time I heard that it was on Rush Limbaugh’s Show!.................
I've always believed that he and Lennon were a successful songwriting team because they each somehow cancelled out the other's worst tendencies.
For the most part, I totally agree. I do enjoy a piece that they do called "Wish Liszt", though.
Maybe, I didn't hear it until satellite radio jumbled all the regional radio markets' playlists together. It definitely wasn't a thing down in Louisiana or Mississippi, back in the terrestrial broadcast radio days.
I figured "Dominick" was an east coast, New York/New Jersey thing, but never bothered to check.
Nah, the most annoying song is without question....
All the stupid covers of “Santa, Baby”.... nearly every year some new person tries to cover this song and does so terribly.... Just play the original version by Eartha Kitt, or don’t play it at all.
