American interests are under attack in Libya, whether we realize it or not. Adversaries and allies alike are attempting to install a dictator. In doing so, theyre undermining U.S. credibility and challenging American leadership of the international order.
Hundredsmaybe thousandsof Russian mercenaries joined the battle for Tripoli, Libyas capital, this fall, fighting alongside aspiring strongman Khalifa Haftar. Russias primary interest isnt Libya, but the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. President Vladimir Putin interpreted

That ship sailed when Ojerko-o-meter toppled the Libyan government a while back. I wonder if the article goes into background?
In fact the idea is the opposite. They say Obama brought democracy to Libya with his wonderful Arab Spring but ‘reactionary forces’ are afraid of ‘progressive’ stuff like Muslim Brotherhood and such and working hard to reinstall ‘tyranny’ just to make a point that US is up to no good and weak on top of it.
Obama’s fault. He and Hillary committed a wartime crime to kill the POW known as Momar Gaddafi. He was tortured, abused, and murdered and Secretary of State Clinton took credit boasting, “We came, we saw, he died! Hahahahaha” on CBS News.
And if anyone objects, they’ll get the full Nadler treatment. Snotty bureaucrats, phony investigations, FISA warrants, Schiff-storm clown show impeachment, lectures from desk jockey Lieutenant-Colonels, ...
All this from the people who brought you the Steele Dossier.
After what we did to that country, I didnt realize we still had any credibility over there.
Continental Risk.
Some good reading about the Muslim Brotherhood and Libya....

Quite a nice although far for complete explanation at your link. To believe Libyans might prefer that sort of ‘democracy’ is rather silly.
I dont remember a Washington Post article critical of Obama and Hillary for overthrowing Libya. They were not a threat to anyone.
Now if we are sending foreign aid which trickles back to the DNC, the Clintons and their foundation, Hunter Biden, Soledad Pelosi jr, and we have a State Department staffed with thousands of never Trumper’s who are setting policy like those in the the Ukraine, then we still do not have any interest there.
I never said one Islamic form of gov’t was better than another.
In the end, they are all anti-Western islamists who will support terrorists.
Kaddafy was a threat to UN and IMF racket.
His development programs for Africa brought real results at half the percent the UN costs and UN programs only enriched the corrupt and brought more poverty to Africa.
Kadaffy built water and power plants in Africa taught Africans trades and built factories and farms for them to have jobs and earn money. Libya itself was a buffer to the African immigration to Europe with Africans getting jobs in Libya as well.
UN programs were always a sort of LBJ war on poverty. Billion wasted on fish instead of fishing rods.
I bet that was the mortal sin of Kaddafy globalists couldn’t forgive.
It seems that Ms. Estelle has a bad case of clientitis:
Emily Estelle is the research manager for the Critical Threats Project at the American Enterprise Institute. She is also a senior al Qaeda analyst and the Africa team lead. She studies the Salafi-jihadi movement in Africa, including al Qaeda, ISIS, and associated groups. She specializes in the Libya conflict and the Sahel. Ms. Estelle led a yearlong planning exercise to produce a recommended US strategy for Libya in 2017.
and challenging American leadership of the international order.
Good.
If the Wash Post is against it, I’m thinking I should be for it.

This woman is a idiot. Obunghole, Hillary and NWO/NATO toppled Gaddafi to have a jump off point to flood Europe with Africans. Oh, plus they plundered the country.
My point exactly. See post #13.
But you see, “reactionary forces” are liberal descriptions of anybody who opposed communists. Or radical Muslims.
Hillary destroyed that country. Opened its ports as a conduit to Europe.
