Shoppers werent slowed down at all by their huge turkey feasts.

The surprise would have been if it had not broken records.
Yeah, that’s reasonable!
I agree. I spend much more shopping on line. I see Free Shipping with $25 purchase....and I go wild.
Money is the best gift
When people feel strong and optimistic, they spend freely.
Just wait until the Christmas season really gets underway.
The Trump Train Economy steams along nicely. Winning!

Short season this year.
Nonetheless, look for retailers to start whining soon about a weak, losing season. Then, in early January, they’ll announce record sales and profits for the season. I get so tired of that game.
I hate retailers.
I can get it for you retail
I’d like to say I completely ignored Black Friday, but that would be wrong.
I bought a pair of Columbia trail runner shoes for less than half price thru Amazon (free delivery). Just too good a price to pass up. The rest of the day I spent raking leaves (AGAIN) and getting a bedroom ready to paint.
I hope others got the deals they wanted...and returned home safe.
It is nice when they bring it right to your door. Also, I have really enjoyed the store pickup this year. Order online, and its ready at the front of the store at the Customer Service desk within an hour or two.
If margins suck, they’re not whining.
It’s all about margins.
I hate margins.
Yet Drudge acts as if the world is ending because (paraphrasing) hardly anyone at all went shopping.
Drudge? Yeah, I know.
But I wanted to see if they had the usual Seasons Beatings headline.
Nope.
Ok its good for the economy but its not smart for those shoppers who choose to go into deep debt over Christmas shopping. Rushing to a store with hordes of people pushing and shoving for items to buy is a flavor of stupidity I choose to avoid.
Yep even more versatile than gift cards.
Gotta laugh at the Drudge headline about “thinning shoppers” at Macy’s- i was at Macy’s in NYC yesterday with my daughter and her friends- they couldn’t fit anymore people in the store if they tried..
Wow, it’s a good thing Little Michael and Tommie Steyer are coming to our rescue to save our broken economy!
