Way to lose to your cross-state rivals, Rebels.
CBS Sports had better coverage of the “celebration” but their headline was too (dang) long to cut and paste here:
Well, he made the highlight show. Im just surprised the coach wasnt more pissed off.
Looked more like a push to the right.
“That’s not who he is. Elijah is a good kid, ....
-
Thats what they always say for classless thugs. He was a good kid. Wouldnt hurt nobody ... yada .. yada .... yada.
Wed probably be better off if we stopped making excuses for idiots.
The dumbass will be known for this will be and probably robbing convenience stores until someone puts him down.
“That’s not who he is. Elijah is a good kid, and he just got caught up in the moment.” Well, that is who he is; otherwise, he would not have done it, right?
Go Dawgs.
“That’s not who we are” -— LOL. Before Obama, was this a common saying?
Hey, its all about him and stylin for the cameras.
Coach likely to be fired after this.
Cost his school a million or so in bowl money.
Coach. Whats urinalysis of the game?
War Eagle! Bama going down tomorrow.
Is it not entertainment? There should be a mandatory song and dance routine after each score. Talent is talent, and suppressing it is a shame.
Most black players prance around showing off over any play they accomplish
Its utterly ridiculous
IIRC, Deon Sanders started this whole “Look at ME!” after a touchdown, interception or sack nonsense.
This is hilarious! Cecil Hurt of Tidesports retweeted this Russian broadcast clip of this. The Russian broadcasters were soooo shocked and amused. https://mobile.twitter.com/CecilHurt/status/1200265786507636736
Well the Ole Miss Admin types are sooooo happy that they got the rebel flags out of their fans’ hands. They are not worried about obscene behavior. They ought to just change their name to the Damn Yankees and get it over with.
I am getting impatient with the “That is not who I am.”
Well, yes, that is exactly who he is or he would not have done it. He is a demented, knuckle-dragging idiot. Immense disrespect for the opposing teams and anyone watching the game.
The next time I get stopped for a speeding ticket, I think I will try the “that is not who I am” line and see how far it gets me.
Just another tattooed African practicing for the big league. This is why the only football I watch is High school. At least these kids are playing high on heart and not high on their own egos.
The local coverage is interesting. Clearly the inmates are running the asylum.
Yep, a firable offense for a head coach in my book.
Similar things are said about 'teens' after they commit a crime
In several episodes of “Smallville”, they show high school players doing celebrations and taunting which would never be allowed in high school. For that matter, college either.
I suppose the writers and directors never actually watched a high school game.
They also show players who are not starters sitting on the bench during practice. Everyone practices in real life.
