STARKVILLE, Miss. -- Luke Logan missed a 35-yard extra point after Mississippi receiver Elijah Moore was penalized for celebrating a touchdown by crawling and pretending to urinate like a dog, and Mississippi State ended up with a 21-20 victory Thursday night in the 116th Egg Bowl.
Ole Miss (4-8, 2-6 Southeastern Conference) pulled within a point with 4 seconds remaining on Matt Corral's 2-yard pass to Moore, but Logan hooked the extra point after Moore cost the Rebels 15 yards.
"That's not who we are. We've been a disciplined team all year, and so just disappointed that happened," coach Matt Luke said. "That's not who he is. Elijah is a good kid, and he just got caught up in the moment."
Mississippi State (6-6, 3-5 Southeastern Conference) beat Ole Miss at home for the first since 2013.

In several episodes of “Smallville”, they show high school players doing celebrations and taunting which would never be allowed in high school. For that matter, college either.
I suppose the writers and directors never actually watched a high school game.
They also show players who are not starters sitting on the bench during practice. Everyone practices in real life.

You recall incorrectly. Icky Woods, the Fun Bunch, Billie White Shoes Johnson and a whole generation of players did stuff long before Deon. If you think logically you would realize the flaw in your post-That there were no TD celebrations before the 90s-which is sort of ridiculous.
Earlier in the game Moore tried to signal for a fair catch AFTER he caught the ball. He ain’t that bright.

Yep. The Convicts, the Fab 5 and the Pistons, all from the late 80s and early 90s. Couple that with the popularity of espn showing the nonsense only added to the problem.
Bet yet, expel the pizzer and put every player and coaching staff who laughed on suspension.

With a harmless, although classless, stunt like this, I don't have an issue with a coach not throwing the kid under the bus in the press conference. Behind closed doors, I would expect the coach to give this kid several blistering tongue-lashings and numerous punishments for his selfish stunt.
