Have at it!
Senator Zilch
Any republican voting for impeachment is akin to dropping a nuke on the people who vote republican. I would expect that much existential reflection on the matter would compel the wise to acquit and dismiss.
A coupe is a coupe, whether it occurs on the battlefield or a chamber of Congress.
Roll call or secret ballot.
None.
With what the Dems have so far, the only ones that might possible vote for impeachment will either be calling it quits or deciding to run as Dems next time around...
Thanks for posting.
The Impeachment of Donald J...thousands of times more interesting than The Trial (Kafka) of Joseph K. Take notes. TAKE NAMES.
None that want to get much older.
Lets don’t.
Maybe Susie but not Murkowshit or Delecto.
There was a time when we would be putting pressure on these types. Now, we don't even pay attention to it. Let's not give these Democrats a pass.
Any GOP senator who would vote to convict would do so only if they are not running for re-election snd hate Trump and the Constitution, or if they think that by hating Trump and the Constitution they can retain their seat with Democrat/Left votes.
I don't see that happening even if it gets that far.
RINO’s
Wow, the negative Nellies are out in full force this morning.
There are more important things, which need our attention more. I need to fetch a leaf blower before the snowstorm arrives.
Missing from this discussion is what Democrat Senators will vote to acquit.
Based on what we have so far the most likely IMO are:
Manchin
Coons
Jones
Sinema
Peters
All politicians know the old political adage: If you shoot at the king, you'd better not miss. Of the true Trump-haters, only Collins, due to her pending retirement, is immune from retribution. But I don't think she will. She will grandstand and chastise Trump but in the end, re-emphasize her contempt for him but state that nothing was proven to the level of removal from office.
Mitt, show political courage? Don't make me laugh. He might try to get out in front for a while but once the bullets start flying, he'll slither back into a foxhole to hide.
President Trump saying that he welcomes a Senate trial is a good idea. He doesn’t get a vote on that outcome, which is controlled by America’s enemies. It’s best to look confident and pray that the usual suspects do not join in with this treasonous coup. If he looks confident enough, perhaps the thugs will back down and merely “censure” our president.
Let it be known if any of their names show up on my voting ballot, they will get a phone call to inform them they’ll never get this household’s vote.
None.
Romney
Collins
McConnell
And maybe a few others will vote to convict. The rest will realize it is political suicide to vote against Trump and will put their cushy jobs first, regardless of any personal or political beefs with Trump.
