Interesting story but it’s a shame it had to be covered by a grown woman who thinks it’s cute to talk like a 12-year-old.

Idle torque. Most cars that are automatics will go forever at relatively low speeds; automatics will move with just the engine idling, no gas pedal input required.

There is nobody in the above car (video at link).
Vid, or it didn’t happen. ;-)
Well, I guess it could happen, then...
There is a Far Side cartoon here somewhere.
Re: Cars idle high enough it will go without the gas pedal being used.
Put your car in reverse (or forward) and let off the brake and dont touch the gas and see what happens

Did the cops shoot the dog?
Boy. No kidding. She really did.
When I was about five, my mom stepped out of the car, leaving the door open. My two year old brother reached over and dropped the transmission into reverse. My mom came out and saw the door lying on the ground next to the house. She chased the car and managed to jump in, but not before my brother destroyed my tricycle.
Mine too! I always loved the little dog asleep in the shaft of moonlight.

I’m surprised he didn’t drive to Petco.
Why wouldn’t a dog go in circles for an hour? Head out the window and a truly panoramic view...what more could a dog want?
I think Dog would probably become a little freaked - after all, he’s used to the Human being in there and doing the driving.
(Still a little suspicious of this story :-)
