Watching 'Broadway Joe' Namath do Medicare commercials puts a punctuation mark on getting older. It will happen to all of us, but I just remember him after his career, cavorting with various women in the 80s - and then marrying a 22 year-old. Living large. Now he's talking about having meals delivered.
I ran into Roman Gabriel, one of my childhood sports faves earlier this year. He is now pushing 80 and his knees are terrible but he looks pretty decent for his age. Long time since 1969 NFL MVP days.
Joe Namath is clean and sober and probably happier than he’s ever been in his entire life.
Getting old sucks
I remember Joe Namath on the Brady Bunch.
He was my favorite back in the day.
He was beautiful when he was young. After the incident with the female reporter whom he kissed and grabbed on camera......he woke up & realized he had a huge problem. She was the 1st person he called the next day. He said she helped him & that he was very grateful for her forgiveness.
I always like Joe. He admits his mistakes and tries to do better. Sure wish he could of had good legs in the NFL.
Heard an AARP ad about drug prices and they USED PRESIDENT TRUMP’s voice in the advertisement. This is highly questionable in that AARP is a prescription drug provider company available by contract to different insurers. They are exactly like Caremark,Express Scripts, CVS Health, and OptumRx of UnitedHealth Group. They OWN centralized pharmacy sources and wholesalers— they buy from Pharma companies as a wholesaler.
What’s more AARP sells healthcare insurance, and their “limited benefit” insurance plans offered through UnitedHealth provided inadequate coverage and were marketed deceptively to begin with— expensive policies which under-insured in the market.
To say AARP has a “conflict of interest” is phenomenally understated. They are frankly, crooks.
Yeah, like he needs Medicare with all his money.
Full agreement with you!

Me too. Got an autograph from Jack Snow around that time.
Although today it would be: PUT IT BACK ON. PUT IT ALL BACK ON

Look at the bright side. He is not doing commercials for Depends.....
So sick of Joe. And Terry Bradshaw in the bubble bath is just revolting. Another ploy for the elderly to buy a bathtub. Pity these guys couldnt make enough money in sports they have to become salesmen to the old folks.
Can’t stands ya!
