Yale shocker: 29.5 million illegal immigrants, 3X higher than Census number
Washington Examiner ^ | September 23, 2018 | Paul Bedard

The illegal immigrant population is as high as 29.5 million, far more than the 11 million accepted by experts and the government, according to an explosive new report from three Yale University experts.

“Our results lead us to the conclusion that the widely accepted estimate of 11.3 million undocumented immigrants in the United States is too small. Our model estimates indicate that the true number is likely to be larger, with an estimated 95 percent probability interval ranging from 16.2 to 29.5 million undocumented immigrants,” said their report published by PLOS One, an academic journal.

The authors from Yale School of Management, Mohammad M. Fazel-Zarandi, Jonathan S. Feinstein, Edward H. Kaplan, said the average in their new model is about 22 million, exactly twice the number accepted by the Census Bureau and other experts.

“The mean estimate based on our simulation analysis is 22.1 million, essentially double the current widely accepted estimate,” they wrote.

The estimate considers the flow of illegals differently than other models.

The report, however, was assailed by the Center for Immigration Studies that has long surveyed the population of illegal immigrants and is a proponent of curbing it.

Steven Camarota, the Center's director of research, issued a statement rejecting the Yale numbers.

“The findings are unsupportable. Accepting that there are 22 million illegal immigrants in the U.S. also requires accepting that every Census Bureau survey missed huge numbers of people and that most administrative data from the federal government is woefully incomplete. There is no body of research that corroborates such a claim,” he wrote.

The new report is sure to heat up the debate in Washington over the illegal immigrant population and the costs associated with housing and caring for them.

How was our nation able to absorb 22-million illegals without them being obvious to everyone? It was easy! Just abort 60-million babies and dispose of them in our landfills. Otherwise we would have overcrowding.

____________

It is certainly obvious here in the northeast. Lots of central and South Americans and island and africans everywhere. And the Somolis are everywhere too

Glad someone in academia is finally opening their eyes to the truth about illegal immigration.

IF dims gain control again they will enact citizenship for any illegal. Then we'll really see what the true number is.

Yale is closer though than the so-called "experts".

More illegals means more poor populations who generate more seats in the House of Representatives and more votes for Democrats.

More votes for more welfare, more votes for more illegals.

And you thought this was all about compassion for the downtrodden of the world.

Not a surprise to anyone paying attention.
Now add in the anchor babies born here.

Are you beginning to get an inkling of the threat to national security we have here?

Over 20% of our population are invading barbarians or their children. And a huge percentage of that are drains on our Treasury.

To claim that 11 million still is the right number you would have to assume that for every year for decades that if you start the year with 11 million, add a few hundred thousand to a million border jumpers per year and subtract a few who return, die or become legal and still end the year with 11 million. That doesn't work so the 11 million must be wrong.

My theory is that when the official number crossed 10 million the American population took a significant turn against illegals so the cheap labor party made sure that number was never allowed to increase again.

The article uses these phrases: illegal immigrant and undocumented immigrants.

How about using one phrase instead of two: criminal alien? So much more expressive.

Total BS.
We have 40-50 million here.
If they all wore uniforms, we’d look like an occupied country.

A dozen years ago, it was said 1 in 8 people in the US were illegals. That number has gone up.

Those being cycled through our podunk county jail is at least 40 per week.

“Our results lead us to the conclusion that the widely accepted estimate of 11.3 million undocumented immigrants in the United States is too small.

There's part of the problem right there, not being honest about the terminology. Now, with a study showing the number could be as high as 29.5 million I wonder if the real number might be more like 50 million?

Deport ALL illegal alien invaders. Seize their ill-gotten assets to help pay for their perfidy. If they illegally return, shoot them.

Let’s hope Pres. Trump puts the full package out there. This should be part of a Comprehensive Immigration Enforcement bill, missing since 1987 ONE TIME amnesty. The List of Comprehensive Immigration Enforcement, missing since 1987 goes like this -

1) southern barrier;
2) require eVerify to hire;
3) end all chain migration;
4) birthright per Minor v. Happersett (plural parents);
5) end work visas;
6) 10-year moratorium on all new applications for citizenship (40 years to allow workplace automation effects on downsizing population);
7) Set up an illegal aliens’ victim restitution fund.

Enactment of these provisions will motivate illegal aliens to SELF-deport, and remove colonizadors from our welfare rolls.

You can do all that, but you still have to turn off the “magnet”- the thing that’s drawing them here and keeping them here: free welfare, free medical, free schooling/education, free drivers licenses, free housing, free social security $, bringing relatives in for free (chain migration), “sanctuary” cities, no jail time for crimes, legal standing in court to sue, etc.

Remember, they are ILLEGALS. They don’t care about laws, regulations, rules or order. They’re here to get all the freebies that we are giving them. And the Wall, needing SS# to work, no ‘voting’ rights, needing visas, not having citizenship and everything else you listed that is supposed to be a ‘disincentive’ matters little to them. Criminals don’t care about laws, etc.

NO AMNESTY of any kind! Turn off the freebie spigot THEN institute your list. THEN watch the exodus. We wouldn’t even have to provide buses South, but that would help.
