Told ya KK couldn’t do anything about what he was doing.
A realization that KK really has no legal standing to prevent this student from reselling something he legally bought? Also a reaction to the backlash KK was probably getting.
Good call.
I don’t eat donuts. But is a good ending.
Not a good shelf life on donuts
They try give him the diabetus
I used to drive my daughters 30 minutes away for hot KK doughnuts.
Yep. Surprised so many here yesterday were of the mind that KK was within their legal rights to do anything once he legally purchased the product. Also, KK cant be held legally responsible for what he does with his own property later on. That brand protection and liability excuse was nonsense. Glad this was resolved quickly.
Personal initiative and self sufficiency Trumps corporate stupidity.
They need to fire the lawyer that advised them to send out the cease and desist letter. After he paid for the donuts they were his to sell, eat or give away. Any first year law student would know that.
I suppose they couldn’t find any embarrassing tweets he’d made a few years ago, so gave him all their leftover donuts that day.
“...500 dozen doughnuts...”
I can hear the arteries clogging, from here.
It wasn’t too hard to figure out. We have local hot dog vendors that re-sell Zweigle Hots...and they make an outrageous profit.
Our main concern is......that we ever made the phone call to tell him a big fat lie.
That’s how entrepreneurs are born. Think of what life lessons kids today lose out on by not being able to have lemonade stands because some dumb-ass city council says they dont have a business permit. Pfffft.
I agree, I guess. But why can sports entities restrict the resale of tickets from someone who legitimately bought them?
Whatever you think of Krispy Kreme, maintaining product quality is a legitimate concern, and this seems like a good solution. Set him up as a distributor officially, and both sides win.
Another stupid move by a company. Knee jerk and then turn around and do what they should of done in the first place.
