Told ya KK couldn’t do anything about what he was doing.

A realization that KK really has no legal standing to prevent this student from reselling something he legally bought? Also a reaction to the backlash KK was probably getting.

I don’t eat donuts. But is a good ending.

They need to fire the lawyer that advised them to send out the cease and desist letter. After he paid for the donuts they were his to sell, eat or give away. Any first year law student would know that.

I suppose they couldn’t find any embarrassing tweets he’d made a few years ago, so gave him all their leftover donuts that day.

“...500 dozen doughnuts...”

I can hear the arteries clogging, from here.

Our main concern is......that we ever made the phone call to tell him a big fat lie.

Whatever you think of Krispy Kreme, maintaining product quality is a legitimate concern, and this seems like a good solution. Set him up as a distributor officially, and both sides win.

Another stupid move by a company. Knee jerk and then turn around and do what they should of done in the first place.

Some may wonder if this whole thing was nothing more than an elaborate ruse to get Krispy Kreme trending. Just look at how many people are now thinking about KRISPY KREME DONUTS!!
Both sides have won with this outcome. Very clever indeed.

"...giving the Minnesota college student 500 boxes of doughnuts..."

Sounds more like a sentence.

Nice!

Now make a diabetic friendly Krispy Kreme.

There are 30 million diabetics in the U.S. Huge untapped , sadly donut free market.

I couldn’t see where Krispy Kreme had a leg to stand on. If I go to the store and buy a bunch of Hershey bars and resell them can Hershey come knocking on my door griping about it?

He's already probably smarter than anything he will learn in college just because of his entrepreneurship selling doughnuts. In college he'll just get a steady diet of insane, dip-shit nonsense.

If he’s reselling Krispy Kreme donuts for $20 a box, he could get close to $100 for a box of Round Rock donuts!
