Hello FRiend! ! It’s always warm and comfortable here on the Trump Train, a lot like visiting at a favorite aunt’s or uncle’s house... I did get a little melancholy as I drove off the mountain for almost the last trip of the season, but there is indeed a time for all seasons, and the trail, nor the resort is moving anytime soon.

Shooting it up in the high country eh’?

#Me too! Between all of us at the resort- a .35, 30-30, 30.06 , & .308 were uncased and used for a little target practice. We took a one foot long piece of 4” x 4”, spray painted it traffic orange, and hung it on a post with a piece of string about 200 yards down range. I went through a 20 round box of ammo, hitting close by but never striking the target. I had the only rifle without a scope. Everyone else hit the block at least once. I was offered the scoped .308 and took 3 shots. I thought I hit the target once, maybe twice, but the consensus of the group was that I had hit the block of wood all three times. ;0) Thank you Uncle Sam!

We were trying out my boy’s new custom made AR-10 (.308). It was payment for a website he did for the manufacturer in Medford. Amazing accuracy at 400 yards even for this old vet. Fun stuff.

Last week, the Senate confirmed two more of President Trump’s court of appeals nominees, Danielle Hunsaker (Ninth Circuit) and William Nardini (Second Circuit). This brought the number of federal appellate court judges confirmed since Inauguration Day to 45 — yet another new record for President Trump. Also last week, President Trump announced his intent to elevate Andrew Brasher to the Eleventh Circuit. Brasher is currently a district judge in the Middle District of Alabama who was nominated to that seat by President Trump, and confirmed by the Senate earlier this year. Brasher joins two other excellent nominees to the Eleventh...
