After winning the first two games on the road, the Washington Nationals lost three games in a row in their World Series home stand against the Houston Astros this weekend following several snubs of President Trump by the team and protests by fans. After scoring a combined 17 runs in their two opening victories the Nationals have only scored one run per game while getting blown out at home by the Astros who have scored a combined 19 runs in their three road victories.
When Trump announced he would be attending a possible Game 5 on Sunday, the Nationals announced Trump antagonist chef Jose Andres would throw out the ceremonial first pitch for that game. (Trump had already said he was not interested in throwing the first pitch.)
That was followed by a report the team owners did not want to sit with Trump and quietly let it be known he should not ask them to do so.
At the game Sunday night, Trump was loudly booed by the wealthy D.C. swamp rats in attendance who also chanted, lock him up, even though just the day before a raid in Syria ordered by Trump had led to the death of ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi.

The average person cannot afford to go to the World Series. It was full D.C. politicians, their staffs and many lobbyists that are upset their pig trough is being cut (Syria). These degenerate sellouts want to keep looting the American people.
I love nice heartwarming stories.
Sports becoming political ruins the sport. Bet their ratings are in the tank thanks to their political statements.
Since when did D.C. have team? :)
I'm a geezer, but I remember how a typical complete game from Catfish Hunter would take less than 2 hours.
Since when did D.C. have team? :)
It came from a foreign country, I think we need an investigation into foreign influence in DC sports.
I wonder if George Will wants to chance shooting his mouth off about Trump today?
I can’t remember the last time I watched a baseball game...somewhere along the line it became so boring I can’t stand it. Some may have to do with the announcers too...all the left-indoctrinated PC types cannot keep it interesting.
FOAD (again) Washington baseball team!
I remember stadiums not allowing nasty political banners to be hung, but our domestic enemies were proud to be POS, as usual and always!
I’d given up MLB after the last strike, occasionally watched post-season here and there, but am done with another POS political sport.
D.C. is a crime infested swamp of creatures stealing from government - Go Houston!
Sort of like the Braves imploding when they banned foam tomahawks in the stadium because they Offended
Funny, earlier this season someone one unfurled a MAGA banner at a game - where was it, Camden Yards? - and got escorted out of the stadium. Schadenfreude. Between the Nasties getting their comeuppance in front of the Swamp Rats and the Redskins plumbing the depths of suckage not seen in the team's modern history, it's a good year to be a fan of The Other Team.
Yep. And back then pitchers didnt take 45 to 60 seconds between pitches like they do today. Excruciating. MLB proposed a 20-second pitch clock fairly recently to address the problem, but the players association rejected it.
We can still watch Golf and hockey.
I do still watch College football.
Good lesson for all of Washington, D.C. swamp. Bad behavior comes to bite you in the ass. National fans and Democrats won’t be sitting for a long time.
College hoops starts soon, too, looking forward to another thrilling season from my Zags.
No one cared about this team and their stadium was often largely empty until they won a championship and got into the World Series. All of a sudden, they had masses of longtime dedicated fans wearing team regalia. Typical of Washington and the people that live there and feed off the federal government (taxpayers).
You can bet the house that if those signs were negative towards the halfrican, mooselimb, communist, prick obummer, both the signs and the patrons would be out in a nanosecond.
If it's negative toward Trump, that's OK.
Well, the people are getting what they allegedly wanted. Supposedly, people wanted to see more scoring. MLB juiced up the baseballs, and more and more hitters have adopted a home run "launch angle" when they hit. More scoring means more pitching changes, which all adds up to longer games. The only short games are 2-1 pitching duels.
