Prozac Maker Paid Millions To Secure Favorable Verdict In Mass Shooting Lawsuit
Activist Post ^ | 18 September 2019 | Arjun Walia

Posted on 09/19/2019 7:37:15 PM PDT by Windflier

It was recently disclosed that Pharmaceutical company Eli Lilly paid millions of dollars to the victims of a mass shooter to cover up the connection between the mass shooter and prozac.

Why are all mass shooters, past and present, always on some similar type of prescription drugs, most notably antidepressants?

Everybody should know by now that pharmaceutical companies tend to be extremely unethical, and that they have a very tight stranglehold over government health regulatory agencies like the Centers For Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Food & Drug Administration (FDA).

According to Robert F. Kennedy Jr., pharmaceutical companies have more lobbyists in Washington D.C. than there are congressmen and senators combined. They are even more powerful than big oil and gas, so you can just imagine the power they exercise over politicians and our federal health regulatory agencies.

It’s also important to point out the revolving door that exists between big pharma and federal health regulatory agencies. Julie Gerberding, the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association ‘Woman of the Year,’ is a prime example of someone who has gone through the revolving door between government regulatory agencies and the corporations they are supposed to be regulating. She was once the Director of the CDC before moving over to an executive position at Merck.

This is no secret, multiple scientists from within these organizations, like the CDC, have even “blown the whistle.”

A group called the CDC Scientists Preserving Integrity, Diligence and Ethics in Research, or CDC SPIDER, put a list of complaints in a letter to the CDC Chief of Staff and provided a copy of the letter to the public watchdog organization U.S. Right to Know (USRTK).

We are a group of scientists at CDC that are very concerned about the current state of ethics at our agency. It appears that our mission is being influenced and shaped by outside parties and rogue interests. It seems that our mission and Congressional intent for our agency is being circumvented by some of our leaders. What concerns us most, is that it is becoming the norm and not the rare exception. Some senior management officials at CDC are clearly aware and even condone these behaviours.

There are so many examples of pharmaceutical fraud, it’s truly unbelievable how they are able to operate. One of the latest examples comes from the drug maker that produces Prozac. This is an antidepressant that Joseph Wesbeker’s victims claimed was responsible for his shooting rampage 30 years ago at Standard Gravure. The maker of the drug quietly paid $20 million to help “ensure a verdict exonerating the drug company.”

The company is called Eli Lilly, and they hid the payment for more than two decades, all the while defying a Louisville judge who fought to reveal it because he said it influenced the jury’s verdict.

Apparently, Wesbecker started to take Prozac about a month before his killing spree that killed eight and wounded 12 in the print shop attached to the Courier Journal. All but one of the victims sued Eli Lilly.

In exchange for the payment, the plaintiffs – eight estates and 11 survivors – agreed to withhold damaging evidence about the arthritis drug Oraflex that Lilly withdrew from the market. Lilly pleaded guilty to 25 criminal misdemeanor counts for failing to report adverse reactions that patients suffered from the drug, and the drug company feared that the Prozac jury would be more inclined to rule against the drug maker if it learned of it. The plaintiffs agreed that if the jury found Lilly liable, they would not seek damages, nor would they appeal the verdict if they lost.

Here is another example of fraud I wrote about a few years ago with regards to antidepressants. Again, it involved pharmaceutical companies that were not disclosing all information regarding the results of their drug trials. Researchers looked at documents from 70 different double-blind, placebo-controlled trials of selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRI) and serotonin and norepinephrine reuptake inhibitors (SNRI) and found that the full extent of serious harm in clinical study reports went unreported. These are the reports sent to major health authorities like the U.S. FDA.

Perhaps the drugs and guns interacted. Surely the gunman couldn’t be responsible. His pockets aren’t deep enough.

A couple missed doses of antidepressants can cause terrifying behavior.
Seen it up close.
I expect most non religious/political mass murders are caused by missed doses.

“Why are all mass shooters, past and present, always on some similar type of prescription drugs, most notably antidepressants?”

This is factually incorrect. I believe crimeresearch.org shows that only about 1/3 were on or had been on a prescription drug.

Millions take them and do NOT become mass shooters.

That’s it in a nutshell.

On literally my first day in college, I learned about the fallacy of the "one-way correlation." It's doubtless true that 100% of mass murderers drank milk as children, but that means nothing unless you also know what percentage of milk-drinkers went on to become mass murderers.

Also people who are just starting on the prescription. Not all anti-depressants work the same way in all people. Some times these drugs do the opposite of what they are supposed to do.

True. But on the flip side, if we know that 20% of a population subset is on anti-depressants, but 90% of events are caused by people on anti-depressants, that is meaningful, and at least invites further study.

Drugs didn’t pull the trigger.

Of course, but drugs altered the mind of the one who pulled the trigger.

It never takes long for the shills to show up and make excuses for the murderous rampages otherwise decent people go on after getting hooked on psych meds.

materialist science is part of the problem. you hear mental health advocates as useful stooges say “it’s not you, it’s your brain...we have to get rid of the stigma attached to mental illness”....but they seem not to understand that the scientists don’t believe in mental. they believe everything can be reduced to brain chemistry....which is not mental at all....it’s physical......so you get science’s version of Original Sin with no redemption, except submission and control of subhumans by humans.....in other words “You ARE your brain & your brain is defective, therefore YOU ARE DEFECTIVE....(but it’s not your fault)”. so whose fault is it? God’s? or you parents. Hopeless kids in in the mental health materialist system trap wanting to lash out an an unfair world which says they are fundamentally flawed. Plus the drugs themselves have side effects of causing suicidal and homicidal ideation.......You can’t get a brain transplant if your brain is defective. so one kid worships Satan....another kid kills his mother......others want to kill themselves but be remembered as marytr for some cause first....or as just plain bad.

but the 20 per cent are troubled and medication is an option as treatment.

An interesting question is how many more violent events would happen without medication?

Don’t be ignorant on this one. ALL of these psychotropic drugs carry warnings about causing violent psychotic episodes being a side effect.

There’s a very legit issue that pretty much ALL of the mass shooters the last 20 years were on one of those drugs.

Certain psychoactive drugs, like Prozac, Xanax,Ativan, Valium, Seroquel minimize inhibitions (feelings of guilt) that would otherwise keep the person from undertaking socially/religiously inappropriate behaviors. The onset of mass shootings are coincient and following the realese of such "magic bullet" drugs for public trials and final accptance in the formulary.

Army links prescription drug use to the services' growing suicide rate.

Do a search on "Centcom formulary and benzodiazepines"
Do a search on "Prozac and inhibitions"
Then substitute the names of other psychoactive drugs

Back in the 90’s it was Zoloft. Every doc was putting people on it like it was gummy bears. I saw many people take it and recommend it to all family members. Seems like People mag was promoting that drug for everyone. Haven’t heard anything about it in the last 10 years.
