Subject: Out of town pool report #10: Los Angeles

Air Force One was wheels down at LAX at 4:11 p.m. local time. The flight was uneventful. Fox News was on the TV screens, but the feed was frozen the whole time on a headline about the Israeli election.

The president deplaned at 4:21 and made his way over to shake hands and pose for photos with supporters gathered in a holding area.

Pool loaded into a helicopter for the trip to our next destination. We are lifting off at 4:30.

The White House sent along the following info on officials who met Trump on the tarmac here.

Minority Leader Shannon Grove, California State Senate Minority Leader and State Senator from California’s 16th State Senate District

Mayor Tara Campbell, Mayor of Yorba Linda, California

Committeeman Shawn Steele, Republican National Committeeman from California

Subject: Out of town pool report #11: rolling to fundraising event

The press helicopter touched down at 4:38. Pool then loaded into vans to motorcade to the president’s next event. We’re rolling at 4:46.

As you may have noticed, the president is running a bit behind schedule. As a result we’re skipping the stop at the RON that was on the daily guidance.

Subject: Out of town pool report #12: fundraiser arrival

Motorcade arrived at the site of the president’s second fundraiser of the day at 5:06 p.m. local time.

The route from the landing zone took us up the 405, down Sunset Boulevard, past the UCLA campus and several gated homes. Streets were blocked off, but your pooler spotted a few onlookers who waved as the motorcade passed.

The president quote tweeted a message from Sen. Lindsey Graham as we pulled up to the residence.

As noted this morning, this fundraiser is at the home of real estate developer Geoff Palmer and is expected to bring in $5 million.

Pool is holding in vans outside the residence.

Subject: Out of town pool report #13: Departing fundraiser

Motorcade is rolling from the Beverley Hills fundraiser at 8:04 p.m.

Your pooler has asked the White House for details on the president’s evening here and will report back with any info.

The president arrived here early and spent roughly three hours at the site. Your pooler heard a big cheer down the street shortly after 7, which may have been when the president started speaking.

Subject: Out if town pool report #15: Arrival at RON and lid

Motorcade arrived at the RON at 8:35 and we have a travel/photo lid at 8:40.

Traffic had not been blocked off for the motorcade to merge onto the 405 on the way back, causing an extremely brief slowdown before the freeway was cleared ahead of us. The ride was otherwise uneventful, though it featured nice views of the convention center, the Staples Center and the skyline.

You can NOT see the Convention Center, Staples Center or any skyline from the 405. The 405 goes through West LA & those buildings & skyline are downtown. Impossible.
