Black hole shock: Our universe could be INSIDE a black hole – shock claim
UK Express ^ | Sept. 5, 2019 | Sean Martin

Posted on 09/05/2019 11:38:45 AM PDT by Innovative

BLACK holes could be a portal to another universe and our cosmos could have been born from one, a scientist has sensationally claimed.

While the accepted theory on the universe began is the big bang, there are other equally baffling theories. One such is that our universe was born from a black hole opening in another parallel universe and that each black hole in our cosmos could be a gateway to another universe. At the beginning of time, 13.8 billion years ago, there was a dense and super-hot energetic point where the laws of physics did not apply – what is known as a singularity.

Isaac Asimov wrote about this possibility many years ago.

And if you pardon my shameless self-promotion, I wrote blog post about it, did the math, a decade ago: http://smithsk.com/physics_black_holes.htm

And our universe has black holes, and they must have universes and black holes ad infinitum.

“At the beginning of time, 13.8 billion years ago, there was a dense and super-hot energetic point where the laws of physics did not apply...”

Nonsense. If the laws of physics don’t apply, then we have no way to extrapolate beyond that point, since extrapolation can only give us relevant data if past conditions are consistent with current conditions we are able to observe. Therefore, any extrapolation that would require the laws of physics to “not apply” beyond a certain point is invalid on its face.

Back in the 1960’s, I heard the hypothesis that the earth is really an atom in a pea on a giant’s dinner plate and that we’re about to be gobbled up.

No different than the current crop of 60's hippies running for the Dem nomination saying the world is over in 11 years. The Giant is a low eater I guess.

Sounds great! Sounds as plausible as their guesswork anywho. I will look that one up later.

Probably very far fetched but it does give you pause to think.

It has always sounded wrong that the ultimate ending for the Universe is everything ends up inside a Black Hole.
It all made life seem pointless.

If we assume that the present universe came from a big bang, then at the instant of the big bang all the mass of the universe was well within the radius of what would be a black hole. And nothing is supposed to be able to come out of a black hole.

But yet, it emerged from that.

Whatever happened to empirical verification and falsifiability? I guess they do not apply to global warming they do not apply to anything.

Ridiculous!
Parallel universes? unprovable, and so speculating about them is unscientific.
The laws of physics DID apply at the beginning, OR they are wrong.

Please don’t expect me to believe that the entire Universe was contained in a dense ball of matter the size of a pea. This pea has no antecedents, so it came into existence without a cause.

Or it was spawned by another Universe, which then had to have been given birth by another Universe, in an infinite regression. Infinite regressions don’t happen. Infinite means you never reach the end.

Keep trying.

Waiting for John Wiley Price to declare this giant theoretical black hole “racist” . . .

AFAICR, the theory of black holes started with the concept of “dark stars”, which were conceived as stars so massive and with a gravitational pull so great that the light they generated could not escape from them.

Today’s “big bang” is an attempt by the left to secularize theologian Georges LeMaître’s ideas.

Are you Marianne Williamson?

No, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night.

ad history said: The original campaign, which featured commercials ending in the line "But I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night," ran for 11 years, starting in 1998.

I would be insulted to be compared to Williamson. But I know it was in fun.

I never liked her through the years. She would put us under the same yoke of Communism that AOC and Bernie would, but with New Age title BS in doing so. And when the Defense Dept. has to hold a bake sale to raise money (old bumper sticker) then she can chant for peace as the missiles head for the USA. God forbid.

She could be the new Dem President's Secretary of the Pursuit of Happiness.

AOC would then whine: She did all that work to have a career and then she ends up with a job as a secretary. Unfair.
