Ann Coulter: Can't America have a little self-respect on immigration? © Getty Images Couldnt America have a little self-respect? Japan, Denmark and Israel do.
Year after year, for decades, America has accepted more refugees than the rest of the world combined. No country we admire does anything close to this.
Score one for Donald Trump: In 2017, after he became president, our refugee admissions finally dipped slightly below more than every other country in the world combined. Go USA!
These arent immigrants the host country specifically wanted. Were not saying, "You know, this country could use some people who know how to restore 17th-century woodwork" or "Wow, this guy and his wife are both neurosurgeons!" Refugee admissions to America are so reckless that this country has taken in Iraqis who deployed IEDs against our own troops and, in at least one case, one of the perpetrators not victims of the Rwandan genocide.
The idea of humanitarian immigration is that people are being persecuted in their own countries and must immediately seek safety elsewhere. Naturally, therefore, most nations accept refugees from their area of the world. The transport is shorter, the climate and culture are similar, and it will be easier for them to go home once conditions improve.

What America needs is a 20 year moratorium on all immigration.
From everywhere.
Get off my lawn!!
maybe more than that.
Get back on the Trump train Ann. NeverTrump is not a good look for you.
Shes vile. Shes mental.
So Ann, if your are reading this, please follow "2ndDivisionVet's" advice:
"Get back on the Trump train."
We have a law against coming into our country illegally. What’s the problem?
Milt Romley’s the guy!
I’ll see you and raise you.
We need a permanent moratorium on Third World immigration. Those people have nothing to contribute to the world’s top economy and freest culture. They are illiterate, violent, tribal and nearly guaranteed to become parasites on our system.
Asians shouldn’t be allowed either. Like, I suspect, most people on this forum, I have a certain respect for the intelligence and industriousness of Chinese, Indians, etc. But the culture gap is still wide. This is America, not Shanghai or Mumbai.
Besides, Asains tend to vote, very much against their interest, for the RAT party.
What I would never want to see shut off is immigration by white Europeans. But in our twisted PC culture, being white is unforgivable sin.
Yes, we do “...have a law against illegal immigration.” And the facts are that the president has never followed the law to round up and deport illegal aliens since he was elected, nor has he built the wall as he said he would do. The people who vilify and lambaste Ann Coulter because she criticizes Trump for his failures in this matter are themselves the more fools. Their stupid slams against her for holding the president to account are tiresome and ridiculous.
From everywhere or from nowhere.
The key thought in the 14th Amendment which along with several other provisions established in the Constitution shows that the intent of the Framers was that only citizens of the United States whether born or naturalized are granted the rights and privileges that are available in America.
While Congress has the Constitutional authority to establish laws of naturalization or immigration they do not have a true Constitutional authority to create blanket legislation that allows non citizens the rights of born or naturalized Americans. In other words amnesty is technically unconstitutional because it bypasses the laws which are established for immigrants to become American citizens.
The beginning of the Preamble of the Constitution states clearly who gives authority to the government and in whom the rights established in the Constitution belong to and they are, We the People of the United States.
Technically correct.
Yet you and many others are still operating under assumption that there is any sort of rule of law. When the law is applied according to identity politics standards, there is no law.
Until (if ever) the majority of the thinking people in this country are willing to admit that the US is a genuine banana republic, it won’t change.
Trump has been blocked repeatedly by lower level (district) liberal shills on the bench. I don’t hold that against him. But....by my reasoning, he should have ignored these judges, proceeded with the wall and deportations and dared them to stop him. So there’s a crisis. BFD. The current situation isn’t a crisis? Obama blatantly ignored federal court rulings and nothing was done about it.
Did we vote for this? Im fairly certain we did not. In fact, as I recall, Americans have voted for the exact opposite every time theyve been given the chance to vote on immigration. We even chose an utterly implausible individual as president of the United States because he was a developer and he said hed build a wall.
As usual Ann has to get her digs in on President Trump, as if he is reneging on his promise.
fools
Are you smart?
We MUST stop voting for Amnesty Senators like Flimsey Grahamnesty and Micro Rubio.
Eventually they will get that amnesty and the Republic will be finished.
Your view that Trump should have ignored the lower court shills that improperly ruled against him and that he should have continued with deportations and building the wall is exactly what Coulter has said Trump should have done during the past two and a half years. She had this issue right from the beginning.
If Ann was writing on Dec 8th 1941, she would chastise Roosevelt for not launching an invasion of Japan yet. God bless her!
