It was one thing when Impossible Burgers started popping up at places like Burger King and White Castle. To me, all of their burgers are impossible because I won't set foot in those places. But now the fake-meat vegan freaks are messing with a piece of genuine Americana. Now they're using Colonel Sanders to push their synthetic slop.
Yum Brands Inc said on Monday it will be testing Beyond Meat Incs plant-based chicken nuggets and boneless wings at an Atlanta KFC restaurant, the latest fast-food chain trying new options to attract vegan diners...
Plant-based meat alternatives have seen booming interest from consumers and restaurants, supporting startups like Beyond Meat and its competitor Impossible Foods...
KFC, known for its fried chicken, will be serving the six or 12-piece combo plant-based nugget meals for $6.49 and $8.49 and boneless wings for $6 and $12.
So it won't taste as good, but at least it'll be more expensive. And it'll give you a sense of unearned superiority, just like every other "green" boondoggle.
I'm with the incomparable Joe Bob Briggs on this one. If vegans don't want to eat meat, then why do they want to eat stuff that kinda looks like, and sorta tastes like, meat? As Joe Bob puts it: "I've decided to chew leaves the rest of my life, but I want all the leaves to look like hot dogs."
There's plenty of stuff you can eat that isn't meat and doesn't look like meat and doesn't taste like meat. Just eat that instead. Why gross out the rest of us with these lab-grown pseudo-meats and Franken-furters?

I trust that the Atlanta people won’t fall for this crap.
I prefer POPEYE’S Fried Chicken, anyway.
They’re also embedded in government and other institutions and are using that power to stop people from eliminating carbohydrates from their diets and thereby (usually) reversing their diabetes and getting off at least some meds, particularly insulin.
Makes sense from their view, as doing the above almost always means eating more meat. Just a shame that millions of people have to suffer so badly and have their lives ruined, only due to their selfishness.
The thing is, these fake burgers and fake chicken products have a bigger impact on the environment than the real thing, and most likely aren’t any healthier for anyone. There are plenty of vegans and vegetarians with serious heart issues.
I like Churches better that both, and Danny’s better than them!.......
Church’s is good. Never heard of Danny’s, though. Must be regional.
Yep, a local chain..........
Deep fry the veggies in rancid chicken fat and you
can’t tell the difference.
There’s a couple Vege-Burgers that taste pretty OK for what they are. Vege-Burgers, they don’t taste very meaty and don’t try to pass themselves off as such. I’m OK with that.
But standing on a pedestal proclaiming you don’t eat meat, while looking for something that very specifically tastes like meat? LOLOLOLOL! That’s a “Whatever” moment.
This fake meat and chicken nonsense is all part of the bizarre green craze that has permeated corporate board rooms. Much more ominous is the amount of capital that auto makers have committed and squandered into the research, development, manufacturing infrastructure and actual production of electric vehicles. Tens of billions of dollars were spent by Ford, VW, GM and of course Tesla. The problem is that these auto executives embraced this green craze without doing the proper market research. Consumers are not rushing to buy electric vehicles. Given a free, non coerced choice consumers prefer the all weather, all terrain reliability and durability of the internal combustion engine. Germany as a nation has fully embraced the green craze. The true cost of electricity exceeds 35 cents per kilowatt hour. Manufacturing is down and Germany and the EU is entering a recession. The green craze has squandered capital and is causing a worldwide recession.
Just tell 'em you're trying to avoid processed foods.
Until they stop offering met meat, nothing has been ruined.
Big crybaby...
The free market will resolve this pretty quickly.
Deep fried fake chicken will still be bad for you.
Come on you know it’s always a first step for liberals.
They are SO MUCH more patient than us.
Started with Will and Grace.
Then pushed for health insurance for their partner.
Then came official domestic partnership.
Now we have marriage and they have kids.
I admire their patience in achieving their end goal.
Too bad their end goals are SICK.
