100% TRUE. = I’m IN the Alamo City & our old GUNSLINGERS & the short-lived COMMANDERS made $$$$$ from the first game that they played until the leagues died.
Bring back the GUNSLINGERS & with the Dallas & Houston teams, we can have a “WAR south of the Red River”.
IF I was giving the new spring league advice, I would say that they should use the NCAA rules, as the fans are accustomed to & understand those rules.
Yours, TMN78247

Will the XFL last longer than the AAF did?
The AAF didn’t even finish their season before the league went belly-up.

Some suggested team names for the next wave of expansion teams...
- Boston Baked Beans (gassed up and ready to go)
- Gadson Gunners (2nd amendment champions)
- San Francisco Tippy-Toes (reflecting the daily challenges of pedestrians there)
- Stone Mountain Standers (as opposed to "kneelers")
To: Bender2
Don’t care what you haters say, I’m looking forward to the new XFL!

Well, my first two guesses for the Defenders were wrong:
Orange County or Oklahoma City for the OC Defenders.

In this newer, friendler era of Nerf flag football the new XFL will have a player names He Don’t Like Me Very Much.

Do you know the largest market in the US without a major-league team in any of the four major sports?

People from the Philly area go there to see the leaves change in Fall. No one lives there though...

Do you know the largest market in the US without a major-league team in any of the four major sports? My guess would be Austin, Texas. Longhorns have enough clout to keep pro teams away. City population of 930,000 and metro population of 2 million.
Maybe a little bit of a thread slide, but I've noticed most places are either college towns or pro towns. Nice thing about being a college fan is your team probably isn't going to get up and move.

Found out in a local article that former Seahawks QB Jim Zorn will be the coach for the Seattle Dragons. That (I think) bodes well.
I see the XFL going the full season. If things go well, I think they can pull off a coup over the overpaid, over-rated, and unpatriotic NFL.
As I understand it, tasking a knee during the Anthem is NOT allowed for players in the XFL

Zorn.......bodes well? Did you see what that Vinny Cerrato Special did in two seasons with the Redskins? The Swinging Gate play, among others? He was so bad, they pulled Sherman Lewis away from a retirement home bingo table to take over play-calling. The only reason he lasted two seasons in D.C. was because he inherited the partial rebuild Joe Gibbs left him. Snyder even gave Cerrato the bum's rush after that debacle, and they were as close to BFF's as anyone gets in Snyder World. They'll be calling them the Seattle Drag-Asses by this time next year. Watch.
