Scientists from the Max Planck Institute for Biology of Ageing have developed a new blood test that can predict whether you’ll die within the next 10 years
While it’s not exactly the most cheerful thought for a Wednesday morning, one day, all of us will die.
But if you could find out exactly when you'll die, would you want to know?
Scientists from the Max Planck Institute for Biology of Ageing have developed a new blood test that can predict whether you’ll die within the next 10 years.
The test relies on biomarkers in the blood linked to various factors that appear to affect your risk of death.
To develop the test, the researchers analysed 44,168 participants aged 18 to 109 - 5,512 of who died during follow-up.
An analysis of the participants’ blood revealed 14 biomarkers that were associated with an increased risk of death.
These biomarkers were linked to various factors, including immunity, circulating fat, inflammation and glucose control.
This suggests that in the future, a sample of your blood could be analysed for the presence of these biomarkers, to indicate when you’ll die.
In the study, published in Nature Communications , the researchers, led by Joris Deelen, explained: “We subsequently show that the prediction accuracy of 5- and 10-year mortality based on a model containing the identified biomarkers and sex is better than that of a model containing conventional risk factors for mortality.”

I have no doubt that when the democrats finally manage to impose a socialized "Medicare for everyone" plan, you will be required to take the test before any medical treatment is approved. If you test positive, then sorry but the cost/benefit analysis does not support the treatment.
Of course, the Obamas and Clintons of the world will never have to wait in the line at the government medical clinic with the rest of us.
This could prompt some serious thought among people. If you knew for sure when the end was coming, would you change your life? For example, would you take early retirement? Would you freely spend retirement savings and not worry about the future? Would you “pig out” and not watch what you eat because your destiny is set anyway?
Any of those biomarkers linked to taking selfies on the side of 300ft. rocky cliffs or scaling the fence of the polar bear exhibit at the local zoo at midnight?
Would you vote Democrat because you want some FREE STUFF and hell, you won’t be around when the bill comes due anyhoo?
Is one of the markers; degree of association with the Clintons? Did they sample Epstein's blood?
However it's done, am sure insurance companies will love this!

My doc gave me this test. He told me there was more than a 50% change I’ll be dead in 10 years.

First thing wrong with the article is that the headline is not in sync with the article. Headline: “in next 10 years.” Article: “biomarkers that were associated with an increased risk of death.”
Since it’s in the mirror, this is no surprise. The mirror is a low-intelligence rag written for gullible idiots.
If you have any blood at all, you’re pretty much going to die. That should put an extra skip in your step today.
