No shots have been fired, and there are no injuries, as Louisiana State University advised to avoid the area or remain in a safe place. Louisiana State University has reported an armed intruder, saying that there is the police on the scene and advising people to "Run, Hide or Fight".
Can’t imagine the cops on any liberal university campus telling people to “fight”...
Maybe the weapon, with which the intruder is ARMED, is a butter knife, or some nail clippers....
LSU is probably one of the more Conservative campuses in the country.

BATON ROUGE, La. —
The Louisiana State University Police Department issued an alert Tuesday regarding a report of an armed intruder in a building on campus.
LSU made the announcement campus wide through a loud speaker that the all clear was issued.
Latest I read is situation under control, whatever that may mean.

For however long, I used to conceal carry on the LSU campus. Nobody knew but me! This was back in the early 70’s.

Geo. Mason U in Virginia got one of those alerts this afternoon. Apparently, a network alert salesman at a school in North Carolina didn’t know his product, and managed to set off an alert for a school 250 miles away. It was canceled a few minutes later, but it was enough to panic students moving into their dorms.
The interviews were interesting. They had the usual snowflakes, but many students just seemed to be fatalistic about the possibility of an active shooter.
‘No threat’ found after report of armed intruder on LSU campus; return to normal operation
LSU officials determined just before 5 p.m. Tuesday that there was no threat to the campus after investigating earlier reports of an armed intruder inside a building on LSU’s quad.
LSU spokesman Ernie Ballard said officials believe the initial call may have stemmed from an off-duty law enforcement officer on campus for a programming event. It is orientation week at LSU after freshman move-in day began this weekend.
“LSUPD has investigated the report of an armed subject at Coates Hall and has determined there was no threat,” a tweet said just before 5 p.m. “LSU is returning to normal operations.”
